Cheesecake Oats, oh my…

14 Jul

Good Afternoon friends 🙂

Every Wednesday is a rest Day for the TURBO FIRE plan, so today no workout for these chicka’s, just sleep and work. How nice, I love rest days. And as a bonus we were not closers today, so we got out of work at 2 0′ clock sharp!

The Breakfast combo was Blueberry Cheesecake overnight oats with a Raw Cashew Crust

**Note- If you have never tried any of our overnight combo’s, this one is a true WINNER! Totally epic. lol..

>Step 1: Make the Crust

  • Soak 2 tbs of Raw Cashew(or regular) in a bowl of water for about 4-5 hours until softened
  • Drain water
  • In a food processor blend the cashews with about 6 pitted dates and a drizzle of agave
  • Press the newly mixed “paste” into the bottom of your bowl
  • set aside while mixing oat mixture

 >Step 2: Make Oat mixture:

-Mix together

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup plain non-fat yogurt
  • 2 tbs unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 pkt stevia/sweetener
  • 1/2 tbs of Jello Sugar-Free Cheesecake powder

>Step 3: Pour over crust

>Step 4: Top with frozen or fresh blue berries

>Step 5: refrigerate overnight

Seriously it was so creamy and really tasted like cheesecake. A two thumbs up for this creation. Take a bite out of that! This morning we added chopped walnuts and a sprinkle of Kashi GoLean Crunch.

Since we had work today, and really did not feel like packing anything, another snacky lunch like the other day came to the rescue. Seriously this lunch never fails, lol. It is easy, fast, and satisfying. Theses new Cookie Dough Larabars are the shizzz. Have you tried them yet? If you haven’t, they really taste like cookie dough, and now Court and I want to recreate them even better.

With all this super HOT and humid weather today, a yogurt mess was in desperate NEED when we got off work. And I’m not even gonna lie, it was one of the best messes. The creative juices are flowing, and we know what is good today. The  combo included:

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 heated banana nut VITATOP
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • 1 tsp Walden’s Calorie Free Carmel sauce
  • 1 tsp almond butter
  • sprinkle of silvered almonds
  • sprinkle of galaxy granola

The name UliMana… What comes to mind?

How about ~

Handmade, vegan, raw chocolate truffles, raw chocolate brownies, raw chocolate-dipped date rolls, nutritive cacao spreads, hot chocolate mixes, and superfood treats!

Yes, this company makes yummalicious healthy raw chocolate that is 100% Vegan friendly. And let us warn you 100% addictive. These chocolates taste fudgy like and amazing.

**VERDICT- We loved these chocolates, and are still becoming vegan lovers step by step. I do have to admit that we were a little iffey as to whether non-dairy chocolate would be as good as say milk or dark chocolate, but there was nothing to be worried about. They were creamy, fudge like, all-natural dessert. Mmm, more Vegan desserts please?

Haha, well I have no clue what to make for dinner, but the tummy is rumbling, and it’s time to go feed it. Oh  yeah Court and I got some really exciting news, and we will tell you all about it, if the plans go as followed. Have a great night, Vlog is in the works, and will probably be posted Friday night. Keep those q’s coming, this is fun.

Peace out Loves!

Start of week 3 and Chobani Winner

19 Apr

Good evening!

So how is everyone’s Monday’s going? The toughest day of the week is finally coming to a hault. Yay! And this is the start of week 3 of school. Yesterday Court and I worked from 8-3:30PM, and here were our eats:

Sunday Breakfast: POM Overnight Oats

In the mix:

  • 1/3 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup Chobani Pom greek yogurt
  • 2 tbs of Pom Kefir
  • 1/2 tbs Pom juice
  • 1/3 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 CranBran Vita
  • 1/2 tbs unsweetened Coconut
  • handful of kashi cereal

AND then topped with one of these beauty’s!

Cranbran was perfect to go with pom and berry flavors.

And  To pair we made ginger green tea lattes.

Overnight oats are decadent as always 🙂

Work was more than a lot to handle today, I’m telling you I cannot wait until I do not work in FAST FOOD! Don’t get me wrong bagels and Coffee is cute, there is just a HIGH demand from people. lol, esp. since we work at the busiest Einstein’s in the nation, TRUE FACT! Oh and by the way all of our stores are having contest for FREE iPods and gift cards, and so far it is looking very promising, YES!!! I could so use a new NANO.

Lunch was some amaaazzzing left over Tuna casserole with a clem and Raspberry Prana bar:

The Baker’s at work left all of the dished from all day, Courtney and I were the only closers with our manager, and it took for freakin ever to leave. So by the time we got home we were HUNGRY! To fuel we had some millet bread topped with cinnamon, dark chocolate PB, drizzle of chobani pineapple yogurt, 1 strawberry, 1 walnut. To die for 😉

Since the weather was extra nice today, our dad pulled out the barbeque and cooked up some yummalicious hamburgers, and some Lime Chee Cha’s went with that. I’m gonna be really sad when our CheeCha stash is gone, these things are Bomb!

And now onto this morning. Yesterday we restocked the banana stash, so we put them to good use this morning. We made

Banana Bread Oats!

In the mix:

  •  1/3 cup oats, 1/3 almond milk, 1/3 water
  • 1 tsp chia
  • 1 tsp flax
  • 1 banana (half mashed and cooked in)
  • cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp Turbinado sugar

And of course you guessed it Banana Nut Vita was the inspiration for this creation, mmm…

  More Vita’s Please 🙂 Vitamuffins=♥

Packed today was another satisfying Raw Crunch bar for Mid-morning snack.

Verdict: We are still in love with these bars, they were perfect to hold us over till lunch. And, the Goji’s added a ton of flavor!

 In the lunchbox:

  • A PB Sugar-Free Apricot Preserve Sandwich Thin
  • Cutie
  • Mixture of Pear, apple, and Stacey’s cinna-sugar chips

When we got home about 3:15, it was Snack time, so we used a banana cream pie yogurt to make a Yogurt Mess!

*Not a fan of the Aspartame in these yogurts, but they got so many dang good flavors. 😦

After this Energizing snack, we proceeded to our Workout date with Jillan Michael’s, doing her 30 Day Shred level 2. Have you been shredded yet? After doing nothing but Cardio for 2 months with Insanity, the Strength parts of the Video killed us! I was happy that the Cardio portion was such a breeze, but my god 3 pounder weights have never felt so heavy. LOL my whole arm was shaking. I know not that Insanity is done, it is time to do some weight training, and AB work. So tomorrow were hitting the gym after second period. And I’m sure it will be a good sweat sessh, and it will be a reunion to the Treadmill. But I’m kinda excited to see how my stamina does.

Karst made dinner for us all tonight, and the house smelled like delish Alfredo and Garlic. We had Chicken Alfredo with a Veggie Salad. So good, when do carbs not make a girl happy?

We also hopped on the Chia Pudding train tonight. This was our first time trying it, and I thought it was rather Yummy myself. Our special creation though was Mint Chocolate Carob Chia Pudding. Beat that! The flavor tasted just like Mint Chocolate Chip Ice-cream.

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbs chia seeds
  • 1/8 tsp mint extract
  • 1 pkt stevia
  • 1 spoonful of dark chocolate PB

Well, we’re off to go watch Alyssa Milano’s new Show. Peace Out!

XOXO Court & Whit ♥

At last, 60 Days of Insanity Complete!

17 Apr

Ugg, work again are you freakin kidding me? lol, the alarm hit at 6 AM, and we dragged our tired Butts right out of bed. Saturday morning’s are the worst, when you think back to when you were still considered a kid, you did not have a job, and life was easy. You slept as late as you wanted, and just plain out simple, The day was yours. Typically on weekends, you had no obligation to anyone buy yourself. Now, on the morning’s when it is tuff, we just remind eachother that getting up is just a part of Growing up. The truth of the matter is you gotta work for what you want in life. And in our case, that is go to work to buy what we want, go to school to get the education we want, workout for the body we want, eat good for the health we want. All in all working gives anyone the life they deserve. Good things come to those who work. Right?…

With excitement to try out our new Measure up bowls that came in the mail yesterday, Court and I made Kashi Cereal for Breakfast.

And here is some info about the bowl’s courtesy of their website:

The Measure Up Bowls are microwave and dishwasher safe porcelain portion bowls that are a great healthy lifestyle tool. They TAKE THE GUESSWORK OUT OF CALORIE COUNTING. The Measure Up Bowls can help you lose weight more quickly and easily – but here is the difference. The Measure Up Bowls are designed to help you keep the weight off. They are designed with the intent of permanently changing your lifestyle habits- not to just be another quick fix.

How cool is that? Clearly engraved markings for the perfect measuring. Kiss the measuring spoons goodbye!

Verdict: The bowl is cute, we’re loving not having to wash more dishes because of measuring spoons, and like the box says, it really does “take the guesswork out of calorie counting.”

After months of wanting to try this cereal, Court and I finally picked it up at the grocery store this week, because it was on sale and we had a coupon, BONUS!

So with this new Vita Top addiction, we decided to have a raisin Bran one with breakfast.

Topped with our homemade raw cashew butter 🙂

 And Cinnamon, yum!

And lastly some almond milk, blackberries, dried cherries, walnuts, and old-fashioned oats were thrown in the cereal.

Muffin Verdict: Cinnamon, Cashew Butter, and muffins were meant for each other. This muffin was moist, and tasted like a softer version of an oatmeal raisin cookie.

 Breakfast= Healthy, perfect size, satisfying♥

At work today, it was busy busy! Everyone and their mom came in for a Bagel, no lie. There was no time to even go to the bathroom when you had to go! And since it was a cold gloomy looking day, every customer was bringing in Coupons for Free Chocolate Almond Latte’s, so we we’re screaming that order out every couple of minutes, lol kinda agonizing, when you are cold too, and want your own Chocolate Almond Latte. What ev, that is why there is a Milano’s Coffee across the street for after work

By the time we got to got on lunch, it was nearly 1PM! We were some hungry chickas. On the menu today was leftover Whole grain Couscous, with HG apricot chicken mixed in, a Cutie, and a new little Raw Crunch bar. The company sent us a nice big box filled with 3 bars of each flavor, and the flavors include Blueberry,Chocolate, Goji, and Cranberry.

The First one we tried was Blueberry!

Info from website:”We suggest eating a Raw Crunch bar between breakfast and lunch and another between lunch and dinner. This will keep you nutritionally satisfied throughout the day, while maintaining your energy and blood sugar levels, which in turn helps to release stored body fat for energy. You will also notice that your lunch and dinner portions will greatly reduce in size. As always, they are a delicious healthy snack for adults and kids on the go! All of our bars are Gluten-free, Soy-free, Dairy-free, Peanut-free & Raw, with the exception of our Organic Dark Chocolate variety. The chocolate pieces in this bar are not soy-free or raw. However, this is a great bar to help those transition into raw foods.”

Verdict: These bars are SUPER filling. They have a nice crunch, which defiantly satisfies your chewing needs. Therefore, it took us longer to eat! We both loved the dried blueberries, and all the Seeds 🙂

Another thing we wanted to try today was one of our Owaters. This one was the Unsweetened Wild Berries flavor.

Verdict: This flavor was quite gross, I don’t know if the Unsweetened part had something to do with it, but I took one sip and thought it tasted like old Tap water. I then handed it off to Court, who took one sip and had a disgusted look as well. lol It is kinda funny that our taste buds are so similar the older we get!

We got off work at 4PM, and it was rainy and Cold. To satisfy that Latte Craving from earlier, we stopped by Milano’s Coffee for some Warm Lattes! I got a small non-fat cookie dough latte, and court got a small non-fat macadamia nut latte. They were both super good. This place knows their coffee 😉

Also on the 30 min drive home, we split this Perfect Foods bar. If you are a Peanut Butter fanatic, then you NEED to try these ASAP.

When we got home, we threw on our workout clothes, and finished our last and final day of Insanity!!!! 🙂 🙂 Day 60 Completed~

***Verdict: This was one of the hardest Workout DVD programs we have ever Seen! 45 min to an hour and a half a day 6 days a week of PURE CARDIO! If you have not seen the infomercial yet, you must Watch. From Day one, our Stamina has increased significantly. And, we have stronger biceps than we have ever had before, and all from using our own body weight. These workouts were a month less than P90X, but about 20 times harder. On the infomercial, Shaun T says that this program gets you results it can take people a year to achieve, and I believe it! We loved this program, and are excited to try more beach body workouts like Chalene Extreme. Seriously, you guys this is worth your money, but I would check Ebay for great deals.***

After completing out last workout, “The Fit Test,” Court and I took a leisurely half hour walk around all the trails in the neighborhood. Then, stopped of at the mailbox

When we got home, our mom had dinner all cooked. She made Mashed Potatoes, Garlic pork tenderloin, and we added the addition of Veggies, and Dr.Krackers Cherry Crackers.

With another sweet tooth for Vita, we made a yogurt mess using:

  • 1/3 cup Chobani Vanilla
  • 1/3 Greek Gods plain
  • 1 tsp of creamy Krema Peanut Butter
  • 1 Vita top brownie

**Caution, Vita Tops quickly become an addiction at first bite, so thank got for their great nutrition rep**

Mix it all up, and it taste like Cookies and Cream Fro-yo, MMM.

Good night LOVELIES!

Another Long day of work ahead of us Tomorrow, oh well that is LIFE 🙂

XOXO Court & Whit♥

Reminder: One more Day to enter Chobani Giveaway which ends at midnight tomorrow Night.(Sunday 4/18)
