Cheesecake Oats, oh my…

14 Jul

Good Afternoon friends ūüôā

¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† Every Wednesday is a rest Day for the TURBO FIRE plan, so today no workout for these chicka’s, just sleep and work. How nice, I love rest days. And as a bonus we were not closers today, so we got out of work at 2 0′ clock sharp!

The Breakfast combo was Blueberry Cheesecake overnight oats with a Raw Cashew Crust

**Note- If you have never tried any of our overnight combo’s, this one is a true WINNER! Totally epic. lol..

>Step 1: Make the Crust

  • Soak 2 tbs of Raw Cashew(or regular) in a bowl of water for about 4-5 hours until softened
  • Drain water
  • In a food processor blend the cashews with about 6 pitted dates and a drizzle of agave
  • Press the newly mixed “paste” into the bottom of your bowl
  • set aside while mixing oat mixture

 >Step 2: Make Oat mixture:

-Mix together

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup plain non-fat yogurt
  • 2 tbs unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 pkt stevia/sweetener
  • 1/2 tbs of Jello Sugar-Free Cheesecake powder

>Step 3: Pour over crust

>Step 4: Top with frozen or fresh blue berries

>Step 5: refrigerate overnight

Seriously it was so creamy and really tasted like cheesecake. A two thumbs up for this creation. Take a bite out of that! This morning we added chopped walnuts and a sprinkle of Kashi GoLean Crunch.

¬†Since we had work today, and really did not feel like packing anything, another snacky¬†lunch like the other day came to the rescue. Seriously this lunch never fails, lol. It is easy, fast, and satisfying. Theses new Cookie Dough Larabars¬†are the shizzz. Have you tried them yet? If you haven’t, they really taste like cookie dough, and now Court and I want to recreate them even better.

¬†With all this super HOT and humid weather today, a yogurt mess was in desperate NEED when we got off work. And I’m not even gonna lie, it was one of the best messes. The creative juices are flowing, and we know what is good today.¬†The ¬†combo included:

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 heated banana nut VITATOP
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • 1 tsp Walden’s Calorie Free Carmel sauce
  • 1 tsp almond butter
  • sprinkle of silvered almonds
  • sprinkle of galaxy granola

¬†The name UliMana… What comes to mind?¬†¬†

How about ~

Handmade, vegan, raw chocolate truffles, raw chocolate brownies, raw chocolate-dipped date rolls, nutritive cacao spreads, hot chocolate mixes, and superfood treats!

Yes, this company makes yummalicious healthy raw chocolate that is 100% Vegan friendly. And let us warn you 100% addictive. These chocolates taste fudgy like and amazing.

**VERDICT- We loved these chocolates, and are still becoming vegan lovers step by step. I do have to admit that we were a little iffey as to whether non-dairy chocolate would be as good as say milk or dark chocolate, but there was nothing to be worried about. They were creamy, fudge like, all-natural dessert. Mmm, more Vegan desserts please?

Haha, well I have no clue what to make for dinner, but the tummy is rumbling, and it’s time to go feed it.¬†Oh ¬†yeah Court and I got some really exciting news, and we will tell you all about it, if the plans go as followed. Have a great night, Vlog is in the works, and will probably be posted Friday night. Keep those q’s coming, this is fun.

Peace out Loves!

XOXO

>Update Dinner Pic: “Pizza” Veggie Salad with a toasted Alternative bagel. Yum! Decided that pizza sauce makes the best dressing on salad.

Attack of the Manna Bears!!!….

24 Jun

Howdy friends. This is the term we would be using if we were going to country Jam with all the rest of our siblings. But no, we gotta Work! They all left this morning for Grand Junction, and will be camping up there all weekend. No fair, we wanna camp.  But we got work, blah.

Today’s shift was from 9-4, so we stuck to our plans for an early morning sweat sessh¬†at the Gym. And when your waking up to just straight working out, no b-fast, than a Nuun¬†tablet ¬†and half a Bora Bora¬†will give you phenomenal energy like it did for us.

Nuun Lemon Lime Verdict- We liked this flavor waaaay more than the Berry one, this one was more like the flavor for powerade or Gatorade. Much more refreshing to taste. And just like the berry, it gave a ton of energy to push through an early rough workout.

While at our gym, Fitness 19, we did HIIT circuits on the elliptical and treadmill totaling out to be 30 min of cardio, then did about 20 minutes of weights/back strengthening.

¬†We were the winner of Alisha’s giveaway for Manna bears which are all natural gummy kid vitamins. And they are truly¬†the best~Thanks girly! After showering up, and putting on some make up, we both let our hairs dry while eating breakfast and blog reading. The meal started with our first serving of Manna Bears. We ‚ô• Kiddie vitamins! hehe…

¬†This morning’s combo was Chocolate covered strawberry protein overnight oats, and a white-chocolate iced coffee. (Note homemade iced coffee is amazing, and now we I truly can see why Tina a.k.a. Carrots N’ Cake raves about it).

 In the mix:

-overnight-

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup kefir
  • 1 tbs Jay Robb Strawberry Whey protein powder
  • 1/2 tbs¬†Carnation instant Chocolate Breakfast Essentials
  • 3 sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 tbs carob chips
  • sprinkle of flax/chia seeds

-In the morning add-

  • 3 big spoonfuls vanilla yogurt
  • 5 chopped almonds
  • handful of goji berries

White chocolate iced coffee

  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbs¬†white chocolate liquid creamer
  • 1 pkt stevia in the raw
  • Ice
  • Cold/Room temp brewed coffee

 Lunch:

  • Veggie shrimp salad
  • Pink lady apple

Dinner tonight has consisted of a a kid syle meal~~ Grilled ham&Cheese, celrey sticks w/ hummus, and a pickle. Beat that dinner. MMM.

One more day of work tomorrow, then we FINALLY have a day off. I am so psyched. Tomorrow is Friday What are your plans?

¬†TTYL~Whit‚ô•‚ėļ‚ėĽ‚ô•

¬†Friday Recap: Friday night Karstee, Court, and I all went to Which Wich for dinner for the first time, and it was AMAZING! You walk in, grab your a sandwich bag, and mark what kind of sandwich you want, and everything you want on it. Then, you give it to the cashier, pay, and sit down till they call your name. I got the Caprese Sandwich which had Pesto, Tomato, mozzerella on it, then I requested some Carmalized onions added in. Court’s Sammie was the Buffalo Chicken one. They both looked absolutely delish, so we split them both with eachother. You know you are close with someone, when you don’t even have to say “Hey give me your other half.” All you do is cut it in half in swap. lol After our dinner, we headed over to Washington Park and walked 3 miles, this time we walked the outer loop, and went farther than just around the lake. The weather was gorgeous, and everyone was out doing their thang. When we finished our walk, Stella’s Coffee was calling our name, and they we’re having FREE musical performances since it was Friday night. When we got there, everything seemed a little fishy. There were ambulance Vehicles on every corner, and Police officers walking everywhere. We did not know what was going on, but then still went in to get some Coffee and a treat. I decided to go save us three a table, while they got our drinks. While I was sitting there waiting, this gothic gang walked by the window, then came insided and started a mega fight with this older guy and his daughter who were at the table across from me. They were saying “Hey wtf is your problem man?” Apparently when the old man looked out the window as they walked by he said something bad about them, eventhough he was just talking to his daughter. WOW! So they were in a mega yelling match, and¬†I’m not gonna lie, I was kinda scared. The whole this was a little weird, and his daughter kept being like “Leave us alone, we did not do anything.” After that whole Shenanigans went down, they told us the musician was running late, so there would be no music for another hour. Well as soon as I heard that, I rushed back to where Courtney and Karstee were, and we decided there were a lot of weirdos out tonight. Then, we left and went home.

Saturday Recap:¬† We had work from 8-4:30 today, and a long saturday it was. All day I worked Drive-thru with this girl Jessica, while Court was Cashier for the inside people. It was a crazy busy day, and our boss said that we made way more money than usual for a typical day. After work, Starby’s was across the street, so Court and I went to Frappaccino Happy Hour. We both got Toffee nut Frapps. Usually this is our favorite Latte Flavor, so today we decided to try it out as a Frapp. And WOW was it good! ūüôā And, the price of each Frapp was under $2. What a DEAL! Since we are reading The Kite Runner for School now, Satuday night we all watch the movie. It was such a good movie, and really made me excited to finish reading the book.

Sunday Recap: We were running late this morning, and had to Haul A** to work. Work was originally from 8-2:30 today, but we got to leave at 1. When we got home, some homework was completed, a nap taken, and then we made dinner. Dinner was a breakfast burrito, with Pears and PB. Since it was mother’s day, all the family was together, and we all had some Chocolate cake for dessert.

Today we woke up to Apple Cinnamon Baked oats, and Vermont Maple flavored Coffee.

And on top is a special Maple Yogurt glazed icing. It was a very flavorful baked oatmeal, that we will for sure be making again. And look at the size on the plate, it is really only a 1/2 cup oats pictured there. lol no lie!

¬†Since today was an “A” day, we had Gym plans for after second period, so we split our las KIND bar out of the Bar Stash. So far this one takes the cake. Maybe because it is covered in yogurt??? IDK

At the gym, we completed 25 min of elipical, 5 min of the stationary bike, and floorwork.

When we got home, some Panini’s and soup sounded good for lunch, so we pulled out our Bolani Cilantro Pesto spread.

Verdict: We love love loved this on a crispy panini bread. Yum, and it paired perfect with spinach, tomato, swiss, and turkey.

And the soup chosen was Progresso Lentil Soup. Take a bite into that puppy

Wowy, here is a QOD for ya: Do you workout everyday, or just a few time a week? What does your typical workout schedule look like?
