Holey Canoli! We went to bed super early last night, so that we could get our beauty smart sleep for all that testing going on today. For a good healthy/fulfilling breakfast, we whipped up egg whites(egg whites, spinach, laughing cow, chickpeas, broccoli, hot sauce!), some strawberries, and Apple Cinnamon raisin toast. And, for a little perk, and oldie but a goodie, the last of the Pumpkin Spice Latte mix to make coffee. The test began at 7:15 AM, and then ended at 10:45! And oh my goodness the science section was so hard. 😦

When we got home around 11:15, lunch was a favorite repeat of last week. A green monster, and a Pumpkin PB banana Pita (but this time in a tortilla, and this one had a few chopped dates added).

Green Monsters are so refreshing with lunch 🙂

After lunch, we looked at today’s grocery Ad’s since it is Double Ad Wednesday. Sprouts and Albertson’s were having some good deals going on, so our mom gave us her card, and we got the grocery shopping done for the week. And the good thing is, no crazy weather happened like it usually does when were out grocery shopping. definitely odd.

For dinner tonight, using our New Hungry girl book, we made Shrimp and Grits. This recipe was adapted from Paula Deen, but then made 100 times healthier. And it was quite a success with this household of picky eaters. lol It was actually everyone’s first time trying grits, which is weird. And I thought they tasted like mashed potatoes, and kinda ricey like. All in all we are grits lovers now♥ To go along with this meal, some veggies were steamed, a crescent roll, and a sparkling Izze.

Wow, who knew how good grits would be, and the laughing cow mixed in gives a lot of flava!

Umm yeah, totally thumbs up meal!

XOXO Court & Whit ♥

Week 4 begins now…

26 Apr

 Happy Happy Monday 🙂

Hello Lovely people, how is your mountain of a monday going? I hope good! Ours has been pretty rad so far.

Check out what we made last night, it was Goji-Licious!

 In the mix:

  • 1/2 container of Chobani plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 container of Hunt’s butterscotch pudding
  • 1 tablespoon of apple granola
  • 1 tablespoon of Kashi heart to heart
  • 2 mini Goji chocolate chip cookies
  • 1 mini Goji Orange mint chip cookie

Viola, a delish satisfying Yogurt mess 😉

Since it is Monday, we had a 5 AM wake-up call this morning. Breakfast was a simple hardy dish.

  • 13 PB puffins (to be specific. lol)
  • 1/2 cup of Kashi heart to heart warm Cinnamon
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 tbs of silvered almonds
  • 1/2 cup almond milk

And to go with was 2 slices (50 cals each) of Sprouts Apple Cinnamon Raisin Bread.

We decided we would hit up the gym after second period today, so Whit and I split this Boomi Bar beauty!

**Verdict: Taste like cashew butter in bar form, which is awesome and very impressive

While at the gym, we completed:

  • 20 min of the eliptical at Incline of 3

  • 10 minutes of the bike at Incline of 3

  • Bikini Body Shape-Up Circuit out of this months Fitness Magazine

~Wow, we we’re SWEATY! This whole workout today was good and challenging. Loved it!

When we got home, we stretched it out then tried a few sips out of this Sport OWATER.

**Verdict: I love the all of the Sport OWATER flavors, I think they just simply taste better sweetened. Their unsweetened flavors don’t even compare to these ones, Tasty 🙂

Then, it was time to make some Lunch cause that workout left our tummies rumbling! Last week, we got a nice package from Fiber Gourmet filled with a ton of their neat products.

This company is awesome, and sells healthier Pasta, Desserts, and crackers.

And check out all the nutrition info all over the box. Needless to say, it is Chuck full of fiber and less calories than Traditional Mac&Cheese.

Explanation-As the Fiber goes up, the calories go down

Also mixed into our Mac was:

  • Tofu
  • Spinach
  • chickpeas
  • Pepper

And our classic go to side dish of splitting a Pink Lady Apple topped w/ Pumpkin, PB, and Cinnamon, oh my!

And now we’re going to prep lunch for tomorrow, then take a lovely Monday afternoon nap. Nothing beats an afternoon nap. 😉

Baby Talk and some Cheesecake… mmm

9 Apr

No one wanted to cook dinner last night; it was if you want to eat fend for yourself. Court and I decided a tofu egg white scramble, with some toast sounded pretty yummy! Using our favorite. Apple Cinnamon Raisin bread, we toasted one side with Honey butter, and the other with Skippy All natural chunky Peanut Butter and Pumpkin butter. It was our first time trying honey butter, after having so many customers order it at Einstein’s, and now I can see what all the rave was about.

After dinner, our older brother Travis and his fiancé Erika came over to talk about the wedding and Baby! It was very exciting, and we all sampled the Cheesecake sent to us to review from The Confectional located in Seattle. They sell delectable Cheesecake and Cheesecake Truffles.

Here is some info about the products:

“We start with the finest ingredients available, including eggs from cage-free hens because happy hens make delightful cheesecake. We never use products that contain hydrogenated oils. Our crusts are made with Maria biscuits from Spain, making them thick and decadent. Our beautiful toppings are made with our signature-sweetened sour cream.”

Here are the list of the flavors:

Coconut Cherry Chocolate

Cookies & Mint Chocolate

Kahlua White Chocolate

Lemon White Chocolate

Mexican Chocolate

Peanut Butter & Chocolate

Quadruple Chocolate

Raspberry White Chocolate

Seattle’s New York-Style

Triple Berry

Sugar-Free Seattle’s New York-Style

Court and I split the Carmel and Cookies Mint Flavor with a scoop of Butter Pecan Ice-cream. They both were very delicious, rich, creamy, and the mint one tasted like creamy thin mint Girl Scout cookies. And the Carmel one was pure heaven. Man, my mouth is watering just thinking about how good it was.

Everyone is so excited about the baby, and we were all betting what day it will be born. My mom was calling everyone and saying “Guess what I’m going to be a Grandma!” She has wanted this for so long. It was great news, and I can’t wait to be an auntie! lol
