It is a Gorgeous day out <3

4 May

The sun is a shinin’ out, and today is in the upper 70’s. Aye yeah summer is so close, you can feel it! lol.  Anywho, the alarm went off at 5 AM, then we got up and made a yummalicious oat creation. Instead of using our typical almond milk in them, we used SO Delicious Unsweetened Coconut milk. The company sent us a generous amount of VIP coupons, so this bad boy was calling our name to try next.

** Verdict: So far, this brand coconut milk is fantastic! I love the creaminess it adds to oats, and the nutritional stats are phenomenal. We have had other coconut milk in the past, but this one is the BEST! And we plan to make some of our German chocolate oats, or an almond joy breakfast cookie with it, yummy stuff.

 PB, Banana, Honey oats:

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats

Today was a short day, so when we got out at 10:45, and hit up the gym. For a Pre-workout snack, we dug to the bottom of our “bar bag,” and had some Apple Soy Joy bars.

We were SWEATY! After our sweat sessh, we hit up Target to look if they were having any good deals, then we drove home and had this fabulous lunch on the back deck. Using up some more of our Western Alternative Bagels, we had a bagel egg white sandwich and a pink lady smeared with cashew butter and cinnamon.

Well, time to go get some housework done, squeeze in a nap, and then a little HW. Tonight homemade nachos are sounding pretty good for dinner, using up some leftover wheat tortillas with Turkey Chile on top. YUM! Who knows? Plans and cravings always change. lol Oh and the Hill’s comes on tonight, yayayay.

So its sunday…

SUNDAY

Since we got to bed so late last night, Court and I decided to wake up 15 min early to prep lunch, and make our breakfast. We usually do that stuff the night before, but there was just no time. Edward Cullen and Jacob black stole our time. lol That movie was so freakin good.  We both agreed we liked it way more than the first one. And we heard that the next one comes out in June or July. Right now the movie we are most looking forward to though is The Last Song. It looks so cute! Anything Nicholas Sparks writes has to be good=)

Breakfast: Court and Whit’s Classic Go to Oats

  • 1 pkt of Quaker Instant Brown Sugar Oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup of Light Vanilla soy milk, 1/3 water
  • Mash half banana in oats, other half sliced on top
  • 4 crushed Walnuts
  • Drizzle of Honey

Lunch:

  • humus bell pepper sandwich on Flax seed bread
  • Strawberries/Peaches
  • 1 Pecan bar out of two pack

For some reason we were sent on break at 10:30AM! Not good, that meant we were gonna be super hungry when we got off of work at 3:30PM which we were.

When we got home from work, we threw together a yogurt parfait, and looked at the ads in the newspaper today. That is always relaxing on Sundays. After that we layed around in my room(Whit) and watched 16 and pregnant on MTV.

When dinner was finally ready, we ate Pork Tenderloin, Brown rice, and Carrots.

Dessert was a thrown together idea with some leftover B-day cake, and Banana soft serve. It was a delicious and perfect pairing.

There is so much to look forward to this week:

  • “A” week, only two long school days
  • last week till Spring Break
  • the start of month 2 of Insanity

What do you have to look forward to this week?
