Loving Kettlebell workouts!

Happy Tuesday Friends! ūüôā

¬†¬†¬†¬† We did in fact have school today, but look who is still managing to post. That’s right we are! Breakfast this morning was a lil’ creation out of Jillian’s Boost Metabolism Cookbook. “Greek Yogurt Crunch.”

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/2 cup berries

Crunch:

  • 1/8 cup Quinoa and¬†1 tbs flaxseed¬†cooked in the oven w/ honey and olive oil

And as an addition we added PB, Puffed millet and kashi go lean crunch.

 

This crunch filled delight held me over well into the day ūüôā

For a snack at school there was a unpictured White Chocolate Macadamia Nut bar that was eaten during math class while we watched Obama’s speech. Did anyone else watch his speech on Education in class?

As soon as 3rd period was let out, Court and I came home to this lovely lunch.

¬†We are saving paper towels, time, and quality now with this beauty! tonight’s¬†dinner featured Maple Apple glazed tofu thrown in a fruit salad along with a sweet potato.

Afterschool, Court and I were looking for a new workout on ONDEMAND¬†for Free, and look what we came across. Jillian’s¬†Shred-It with weights is out, and we had a winner for todays workout. Out of all the workout equipment we have, somehow we do not have kettlebells, so we used 8 lb handweights. In the video one of the girls also uses a handweight, so we just followed her. It was an awesome total body workout. Seriously, we were sweating, heart rate up, and abs burning! After doing this, I want Jillian’s Kettbell that she uses in the video which lets you change out the plates to adjust the weight.

 Oh, and look at all this Senior Spirit wear we picked up today!

 This one is my fav. which is on the back of the sweatshirt! ♥

Oh what time can do to a fellow

Happy Friday Friends ūüôā¬†

¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† So basically this morning, we were in the mindset that we had work at 7, when really we had it at 8. Our older sister Karstee, came into my room and was like what time did you have to get up. I said 5, and looked that the clock read 5:25. Then, in panic I ran across the bathroom to courts room(Jack in Jill). I woke her up immediately, and then we were rushing and going crazy like idiots washing our faces. LOL. Then like 2 min later Courtney¬†said “Whit we don’t even have work till 8!” We felt stupid…proof that you really don’t think straight in the first couple minutes you wake up.¬†HAHA, wow¬†since we were already up, we just decided to go downstairs and have an earlier breakfast. Our morning combo consisted of Strawberry protein overnight oats, and a homemade iced white chocolate mocha.

Strawberry protein Over night oats

  • ¬†1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup plain Coconut Kefir
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbs Jay Robb Strawberry Whey protein
  • 2 big spoonfuls of plain greek yogurt

In the morning added:

  • 1/2 tbs¬†goji/silvered almonds
  • 1/2 tbs mighty maple PB
  • handful of kashi berry granola cereal
  • 1/2 100 cal pack¬†yogurt covered pretzels (6 in total)

¬†WOW a really good combo. And the pretzels tasted like white chocolate ūüôā

 Lunch:

  • Veggie Morningstar chicken nugget salad
  • PB maple protein bar
  • Sugar free chocolate pudding (With cherries/kashi to mix in)~like chocolate covered cherries

 

¬†When we got home, Court and I fueled up with an unpictured yogurt mess, because it was so HHHHOOOOTTTTT!!! Nothing but cold creamy yogurt sounded any better. Then, when Ashley got home we went and picked up our dad’s B-day and fathers day Present. All of which included a lot of Golf stuff and some of his favorite things like a goodtimes¬†giftcard, and Goodnplenty’s(he is obsessed with those gross tasting candies).

Dinner:

  • Fruit and nut powerbagel topped with honey nut cream cheese, and honey butter
  • Egg white spinach¬†scramble~Green chile on top

 Fun Fact Friday

We have not really done Fun-Fact Friday in a while, so I thought we should do one for fun tonight. Courtney and I have thought about starting our own clothing line at one point together, and me(whit) being the great artist I am drew out a ton of designs in all of my sketchbooks. The brand name we came up with was “Cohitney.”¬† Just combining our names actually sounded great. And a possible logo we thought of was “More than just beauty.” I was going to post what¬† one of the designs looked like, but the computer is not letting me.

We are going to a really awesome amusement park in Golden tomorrow, and a yummalicious Crepe place for breakfast. YAY!

Productive and still got sleep!

HEY! 

So today has been a superb day ūüôā It was an “A” day, so after we got out of school at 10:45 AM, we headed down to our gym fitness 19. I love this gym, and we pay a low price of $10 per month! The weather was kinda weird today, just like any other day in Colorado I guess, lol. One minute it was so sunny, then everyone in class looked out the Window and this kid was all “Look outside guys, we’re in a freakin cloud.” Lol, it was so foggy that you could no longer see any of the houses or light post across the street. It was awesome looking ūüėČ This morning’s breakfast was one of our favorite bagels (DUTCH APPLE!!!) with an egg white spinach tofu scramble, and a baby size glass of skim milk.

 My god, Court and I were in a Bagel Coma  XO.  This one is the best, because it is a lot softer than other bagels, and has delicious soft cinnamon dutch apple chunks on top! And the toppings were Honey Nut Cream cheese on one side, and Skippy All natural Chunky PB with Pumpkin Butter on the other.

¬†For a pre-workout snack, during second period in US History(our only class together) we each tried out one of these Macadamia & Apricot Kind bars that were on sale last week at sprouts. This bar was really good, I think we’re going to have to buy some macadamia nuts this week for good creations like cookies, oats, and bars,¬†because they are just too good! ‚̧

 

While at the Gym we did:

30 min of the treadmill

  • ¬†Min 0-5 Speed 5 Incline 2
  • Min 5-7 Speed 6 Incline 2
  • Min 7-8 Speed 8 Incline 2
  • Min 8-10 Speed 4 Incline 2
  • Repeat for min 10-20
  • Min 20-25 Speed 5 Incline 2
  • Min 25-30 Speed 4 Incline 2

Floorwork/Abs/Weight lifting

¬†*That was our first time running in over a month, and we were drenched with sweat. Don’t you just love when you all of a sudden change up your ususal routine, and your body really feels it?*

When we got home, we showered up, put on some comfy clothes  and made this great tasting lunch.

On the Menu

-Green Monster-

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp chia
  • 1/2 tbs vanilla whey protein
  • 1/2 tbs PB
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 3 ice cubes
  • lots of spinach

-Pumpkin Banana PB Pita-

  • 1 small pita (140 cals)
  • 1/2 tbs PB
  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • 2 tbs pumpkin
  • cinnamon
  • drizzle of agave nectar

*Heat the pita in the microwave for 30 sec, then cut with a pizza cutter

 After lunch, I finished up an English Assignment, e-mailed it to my teacher, and took a cozy nap in my bed for about 3 hours. Boy was I tired ♥

After waking up, I got my Science HW done while court studies for AP Calc, and then I made an easy dinner for us while she packed our lunch for tomorrow. Things are just so much easier and save you a lot of time when there are TWO of you! lol.

-Dinner-

  • 1 leftover Hamburger topped with Cheese, tomato, pickle, and onions
  • Roasted asparagus (Top w/ Cayenne, paprika, Red pepper flakes, EVOO, pop in the oven at 400 for 10 min)
  • Alexia Baked Fries

 

 All in all, this day has been very productive, and we got some extra sleep to catch up. I think naps just put me in the best mood. Well, I hope everyone has a great night!
