You wanna know something scary…?

7 Aug

Did ya ever think that there was someone out there that was so much like you… it was kind of creepy? lol Well let me introduce you to Ben. He is a fellow healthy foodie fighting to change the teenage perception of what “good food” really is. Ben has already started a “food revolution” at his school.  And get this he is only a JUNIOR in high school! It was plain and simple for him. He was fed up with the junk food and sweets in the cafeteria and in the vending machines so he did something about it. Ben met with Food Services about changing the menu and food offerings, and they are all for it! He met with Food Services about changing the menu and food offerings, and they were all for it. I wish I had the guts to something like that 🙂 They are even going to start selling his recipe for granola.(How awesome would it be to be able to sell one of your own recipes!)

Ok… ok now this is where the scary part comes in. He works at a bakery too! Anyways I thought I would inform you all of this fabulous revolution. If you would like more info. about it visit here

Today has been the best Saturday, not too hot and not too cold. So you know what that means perfect running weather! After breakfast Whit and I laced up and ran on the trails around our house until we got to the farthest park. Once we got to the park Whit and I ran sprints in the grass. Have you ever ran sprints across an unmoved field? There is only one word to describe it PURE RESISTANCE! My lunges definitely got a workout. After all of that running we were burned out so we walked home and did Jillian’s Yoga Meltdown on demand.

For breakfast this morning we visited an old friend: Cereal and AB toast!

An egg puff…

And a green tea frappe!

Gotcha! It was a green monster 😛

Serves 1:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop chocolate amazing grass
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp flax oil
  • 1 tbs chocolate better n’ pb

Snack: A yogurt mess never fails 🙂

After lunch Whit and I went back to school shopping. We went to Target and spent hours there! When we got back our dad was like, “Where’d you go after Target?” No where. Target has anything and everything. When ever Whit and I go there it is a whole day’s event. We can spend hours there. Check out all of the goodies we bought:

Brand new planners!

A smokey eye kit. It was cheap, but I have heard a lot of good reviews about this kit.

A military jacket! This was screaming Whit’s name.

And lastly a pair of boot cut jeans 🙂

Dinner was a veggie filled wrap and fruit salad.

I LOVE sprouts! They are perfect in a wrap, on a sandwich, in a salad, ect.

Oh and before I go, it is my turn to bring my guns into this show! Have you brought yours yet?

Got to get some sleep before work in the AM!

P.S. tomorrow’s the last day to enter our Namaste giveaway!

As soon as about 2 hit, it has been super hot and humid. Court and I took a walk to go pick up the mail, and about died. Our dad was a brave one though, and went out to go work on the Deck when he got home from work. (Were extending our deck around the house). With no motivation to make anything for dinner, and no want for any hot food we resorted to icy cold cereal with honey butter toast. That’s what an easy summer dinner looks like. Beat the heat with cereal! And it was so good, with fresh berries and PB on top!

While eating this luxury, we watched tonight’s episode of The Secret Life. It is getting so good. Is anyone else hooked on that show? The girls in our family sure are. Speaking of the girls, our older sisters are  back from their camping trip to Grand Junction. Yay! That means our morning workout buddies are back. We go to the Gym usually with Karstee, and Ashley does Turbo Fire with us. I can’t wait to the Inferno plan of this program. All we are waiting on is the Shakeology that we ordered in the mail. I don’t know if you have heard of this stuff yet. “Shakeology uses a proprietary blend of digestive enzymes and prebiotics to gently and efficiently eliminate toxins. Then a combination of antioxidants, phytonutrients, adaptogens, and many other rare ingredients give your body the essential nutrients you can’t get from a normal diet. You get a salad bowl’s worth of fruits and vegetables in a single glass.

Whole-food ingredients—all-natural foods that still maintain the vitamins, minerals, and fiber often stripped from highly processed foods—deliver these nutrients to help your body shed stored fat and promote optimum health.”

It is an expensive powder, but highly recommended by Beachbody workout users. And there are some awesome recipes to go along with it.

Tomorrow is PayDay! All of those hours of hard work are finally going to pay off. And tomorrow is our only day of work this week, and then we have wed-sat off. Since we work from 9-4 tomorrow, Court, ash, and I are all waking up to do Turbo Fires Fire 45 Class and stretch 10 class. Can’t wait 😉 This program is one of the most enjoyable we’ve tried so far.

XOXO-Court&Whit♥♥♥    P.S. so going to the midnight showing of the Eclipse tomorrow. EEK

Wow, it is really Friday?

14 May

Friday came quick this week! No?

Week 6 officially is crossed off. So far, today has been an awesome Friday. It was an early day, so rolling out of bed for two classes is not too bad, you know better than 4 classes, right???… Right. lol. After getting out, we came home-made lunch, and hung out with our little momma before she had to go to work.

Today we we finished our last step to signing up for College Courses for next Fall, and what we thought would take like 5 min turned into an ALL DAY process! Man these advisors did not know what was going on at all. We ended up having to drive down there TWO freakin’ times. Talk about a waste of time.  But then afterwards we got some Sonic and went shopping at TJMaxx, so it’s all good.

Breakfast was a yummy bowl of cereal, with two slices of Toast, and it did not hold us over at all like oats do! By second period my tummy was rumbling. Like to the point where you want to shove everything in your mouth. lol, defiantly not good.

With those raging appetites we decided on Pita pocket’s and some raspberry cheesecake yogurt.

We used our Alternative Pita Pocket:

  • 1 eating right veggie burger
  • laughing cow
  • spinach
  • tomato
  • leftover chile verde

 And in the yogurt was:

  • 1 raspberry cheesecake yogurt
  • 2 tbs Kefir
  • Kashi go lean crunch
  • silvered almonds
  • Fresh Cherries (Get some yo, they are ammmaazzing!)

For an afternoon snack was something NEW and Fabulous, a mini bag of this Natural Popcorn.

OMG, Lime and salt is by far the best combo for popcorn 🙂
