Woah, woah, woah… Hurry up!

 Happy Hump Day!

     This morning instead of having a late start like we do every Wednesday, we had to rush to school for our DECA Banquet. We woke up late still, so we just had a bar and maple coffee while getting ready. Then, we had to HURRY to school. We ended up being 10 min. late, and walked in quietly through the back as awards were going on. I guess you could say we were fashionably late. LOL. While there, they gave us mini muffins from “My favorite muffin, and we watched the music video’s we have been working on for our final.

        As promised, here is the music video remake my class made to Lady Gaga’s Telephone MV. Check it out! It is pretty hilarious, and if you look close I am on the right hand side behind some ppl in the group dances, and also I have a mug shot.

**Verdict: Mango flavored bars are great, and Did you know Maca has been used as an energy simulant food by the Inca’s to increase endurance and stamina. Mango’s contain many antioxidants, 17 amino acids and are a good source of fiber.

While at school, parties were going on, and lets just say we overindulged and therefore had the worst Food babies. UGGG, not good! What happened to moderation and self-control?

Mid-morning snack: 

 Lunch:

  • Whole Wheat La Tortilla Factory Tortilla smeared with mighty maple, Dark Chocolate PB, Dates, and Sugar Free Apricot Jam
  • 1 yogurt
  • Granola Cereal mixture for yogurt

 No afterschool snack was needed after all that munching at school, so instead we came home and got changed right away into workout clothes, then headed to Fitness 19. While there we did 3 miles including 15 min tread, 15 min elliptical, and then floorwork. It was a much need sweat sessh indeed.

After the gym we picked up a few things at the store, and then came home to make this Healthy dish:

-On the menu-

Grilled Salmon

Green Beans/Cauliflower/broccoli

Brown Rice

 *On top of the veggies we put some Garlic Mint Bolani Sauce. Divine!

 Finally, to pair was a Pomade 🙂

Alot on the mind lately

We conquered the middle of the week yo! With our per usual late day Wednesday, we got to sleep in till 5:30. It may not seem like sleeping in to some of you, but when you get up at 5 AM everyday ITS HUGE!!! Last night the weather changed in a big fat hurry, and we woke up with freezing temps, and a snow-covered ground. With summer break just a few weeks away that may seem odd to you, but nope not for COLORADO. lol 🙂 This morning, we were kinda stumped on what to make for breakfast, but then thought of some of Kath’s bowl of oats for inspiration. We basically went off of her butterscotch chips, PB, and yogurt idea, then just threw in whatever sounded good. In the end, all was random, but all was good♥ As eating b-fast we looked through all the grocery ads for the best deals this week.

Today was our short day, so after getting out at 10:45, we went on a fast grocery shopping trip to Albertson’s with the Mommasita, then did a little more when she rushed off to work. We got her into Luna bars, and now I swear she is an addict. You cannot go grocery shopping without picking a few up, otherwise wheew someone will be mad. lol While out shopping in the freezing temps, Court and I stopped into Carino’s Cafe for small NF Dulce de Leche Latte’s for an afternoon snack along with a cookie at the grocery store bakery. On the glass it says “Hey Kids take a Cookie, they are FREE!” So you know what being the kids we are, we snatched those little Pink Cherry Chip cookies right up. And let me tell you WOW, it was a bad for you good cookie☺

After the Grocery Extravaganza, we came home full of energy and ready to do a FREE OnDemand workout. Under the Most popular section, we chose a 43 min video that was fun and new. I liked this workout, because it incorporated Cardio, Strength, and floorwork. And it was put in separate intervals and rapidly changing, so you never got bored. Our older sister Ashley got home when we were in the middle of the Video, so she sat on the Couch and had an awesome conversation with us about this Summer/Future plans while we finished up the last 10 minutes. With all this Summer excitement going on, after reading Courtney’s Post the other day about “Goals for Summer,” and having a long talk with our older sister, we began to really think about our Summer goals.

On the mind, and Want to accomplish:

  1. Pay off more than half of our car to DAD, so basically upping our hours at work
  2. Take a Hot Yoga class! We have never done that, and it sounds awesome 🙂
  3. Figure out plans for College (Scholarships, Internships, Universities, Job, etc)
  4. Move forward with the plans Ash, Court, and I talked about today
  5. Run farther than I’ve ran before
  6. Go to places I have wanted to see/eat at in Colorado for a long time
  7. Take multiple hikes
  8. Ride my new old school bike to the grocery store, and then take home groceries in my cute little basket on the front
  9. Spend a whole day at the beach (Make a sandcastle, play in the water, lay in the sand)
  10. Make this years camping trip more enjoyable than last years
  11. Buy Chalene Johnson’s Turbo Fire, and complete the High Intensity Program
  12. Get awesome Senior Pics
  13. Take many naps
  14. Go swimming
  15. Relax by the pool
  16. Have BBQ, and make SMORES 🙂

 

Breakfast: Oats and Carmel Lipton Tea 

 For lunch we used our Bolani Yogurt Cheese Sauce, and some leftovers in the fridge to make a Wrap.

  • 1 La tortilla Factory Large Whole grain tortilla (80 cals)
  • bolani sauce
  • spinach
  • tomato
  • low sodium turkey
  • sprouts
  • avocado

 

And to go along with that Court and I split this Veggie Pirate Booty Single serve bag.  

 **Verdict: I was not to sure what to expect with Veggie flavored chips, but they were absolutely delish! 

 And with the purchase of the first Cherries of the season, we had to incorporate some of those 

 

 With all this cold air, some High Fiber Progresso Soup came to the rescue! 

As we as our Very Last Corn muffin VITA TOPS! tear tear 😦

What a good hardy meal, that defiantly satisfied and warmed us right up.  

With our “Get your workout done” mindset, we have already planned to wake up early tomorrow and do Jillian Michael’s new Yoga Meltdown video before school. As early as that may seem, it will all pay off in the afternoon, when school and our workout is already done for the day. That is how I see it anyways. lol I am more of a morning girl when it comes to working out, and Court is totally opposite. I have to drag her butt out of bed.

Word to the Wise: Plan your workout out tonight, and have a plan for your meals. Randomness= wasted time, laziness, sometimes bad choices, and of course PROCRASTINATION! Workout and make healthy choices for you. Think about why you want to be healthy, and what benefits you will get out of it. Stop thinking about the person you want to be, and actually become that person. Take a risk, if you never feel uncomfortable, nothing will change.

Most of all, Have a lovely night and get some sleep, because tomorrow is a new Day!

Week six Beginning NOW

What’s Happening? 

       To start off we’ll give you a mini recap of some random dishes consumed the past Couple of days:

 Friday Recap: Friday night Karstee, Court, and I all went to Which Wich for dinner for the first time, and it was AMAZING! You walk in, grab your a sandwich bag, and mark what kind of sandwich you want, and everything you want on it. Then, you give it to the cashier, pay, and sit down till they call your name. I got the Caprese Sandwich which had Pesto, Tomato, mozzerella on it, then I requested some Carmalized onions added in. Court’s Sammie was the Buffalo Chicken one. They both looked absolutely delish, so we split them both with eachother. You know you are close with someone, when you don’t even have to say “Hey give me your other half.” All you do is cut it in half in swap. lol After our dinner, we headed over to Washington Park and walked 3 miles, this time we walked the outer loop, and went farther than just around the lake. The weather was gorgeous, and everyone was out doing their thang. When we finished our walk, Stella’s Coffee was calling our name, and they we’re having FREE musical performances since it was Friday night. When we got there, everything seemed a little fishy. There were ambulance Vehicles on every corner, and Police officers walking everywhere. We did not know what was going on, but then still went in to get some Coffee and a treat. I decided to go save us three a table, while they got our drinks. While I was sitting there waiting, this gothic gang walked by the window, then came insided and started a mega fight with this older guy and his daughter who were at the table across from me. They were saying “Hey wtf is your problem man?” Apparently when the old man looked out the window as they walked by he said something bad about them, eventhough he was just talking to his daughter. WOW! So they were in a mega yelling match, and I’m not gonna lie, I was kinda scared. The whole this was a little weird, and his daughter kept being like “Leave us alone, we did not do anything.” After that whole Shenanigans went down, they told us the musician was running late, so there would be no music for another hour. Well as soon as I heard that, I rushed back to where Courtney and Karstee were, and we decided there were a lot of weirdos out tonight. Then, we left and went home.

Saturday Recap:  We had work from 8-4:30 today, and a long saturday it was. All day I worked Drive-thru with this girl Jessica, while Court was Cashier for the inside people. It was a crazy busy day, and our boss said that we made way more money than usual for a typical day. After work, Starby’s was across the street, so Court and I went to Frappaccino Happy Hour. We both got Toffee nut Frapps. Usually this is our favorite Latte Flavor, so today we decided to try it out as a Frapp. And WOW was it good! 🙂 And, the price of each Frapp was under $2. What a DEAL! Since we are reading The Kite Runner for School now, Satuday night we all watch the movie. It was such a good movie, and really made me excited to finish reading the book.

Sunday Recap: We were running late this morning, and had to Haul A** to work. Work was originally from 8-2:30 today, but we got to leave at 1. When we got home, some homework was completed, a nap taken, and then we made dinner. Dinner was a breakfast burrito, with Pears and PB. Since it was mother’s day, all the family was together, and we all had some Chocolate cake for dessert.

Today we woke up to Apple Cinnamon Baked oats, and Vermont Maple flavored Coffee.

 And on top is a special Maple Yogurt glazed icing. It was a very flavorful baked oatmeal, that we will for sure be making again. And look at the size on the plate, it is really only a 1/2 cup oats pictured there. lol no lie!

 Since today was an “A” day, we had Gym plans for after second period, so we split our las KIND bar out of the Bar Stash. So far this one takes the cake. Maybe because it is covered in yogurt??? IDK

 At the gym, we completed 25 min of elipical, 5 min of the stationary bike, and floorwork.

When we got home, some Panini’s and soup sounded good for lunch, so we pulled out our Bolani Cilantro Pesto spread.

 

 Verdict: We love love loved this on a crispy panini bread. Yum, and it paired perfect with spinach, tomato, swiss, and turkey.

 And the soup chosen was Progresso Lentil Soup. Take a bite into that puppy
