And finals begin!

3 Jun

 Thursday- 6/3/10

Well Finals began today and here is how they went:
Me-
4B: Bodyworks- got a C+ but still have an “A” in the class
3B: Honors English- had to write a 5 paragraph essay on the Kite Runner and answer 100 multiple choice. It was easy peasy!
2B: Chemistry- Yikes! 86 multiple choice all consisting of stoiciometry, gas laws, and crap I do not understand. Yeah let’s just say not one person in my class finished. We were all filling in random bubbles in the last 2 minutes.

Bodyworks is my only grade that has been put in so far, so hopefully I did well on the others. It always seems like no matter how hard you study, finals bring your grade down regardless. lol

Whit-
4B: Geo/Trig- Whit said her test was pretty easy. She ended up getting a “C” on that one, but it left her overall grade at a “B”. (GOOD JOB WHIT!)
3B: Honors English: Whit scheduled her final early since we are leaving for vacation early on Monday, so she took her final the same period as me. We have the same english teacher, but different periods. Whit thought the test was a lot easier than she anticipated.
2B: Office assistant- so she went home.

Day one of finals= COMPLETE

Well with that said, I present to you this mornings breakfast….
Peanut Butter Dipped Strawberry Oreo Breakfast Cookie

Wow that is a mouthful haha!

We modified Sweet Cheeks Nut Butter and Oreo B-fast Cookie Recipe into our own! Thanks so much for the recipe girly it was the perfect breakfast 🙂

Here is what we did

ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • dash of almond milk
  • 1/2 diet hot cocoa packet
  • cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla whey protein powder

First bite… then

DEMOLISHED! Yup it is just that good 😉

Whit and I each packed Bakery On Main Granola Bars today to eat right before the last final.

**Verdict: Trail Mix- I thought that this bar was hard as a rock, I about chipped my tooth. And it was completely tasteless. I absolutely loved everything else that we have reviewed from Bakery on Main, but bars are just not their expertise.
**Verdict: Peanut Butter Chocolate- Whit said that her bar was hard to, but she loved the flavor. If it was not so hard, it would have been better 😦

When Whit went home, while I took my last final of the day, she prepared lunch for us. She came and picked me up and then when I came home this beauty was sitting on the table waiting for me! (Thanks Whit, it was incredible!) The lunch included a tuna melt on half of a leftover whole wheat bun, roasted brussels sprouts, and white cheddar pirate booty.

Today was our first day trying Brussel Sprouts… and boy have I been missing out! Whit did not know how to roast these, so she followed this site and they turned out beautifully.

Recipe for 2 tuna melts–

  • 1 can of tuna drained
  • 1 garlic and herb laughing cow wedge
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • dash of garlic powder
  • cheese of your choice melted on top

Man I love Pirate Booty! It is like a bottomless bag lol.

**Verdict: This has by far been the best flavor. It reminded me of white cheddar popcorn.

Whit and I did our usual Wednesday grocery shopping, but this time only for the things we need for our vacation next week! Some of the things that we are going to is visit Yellowstone, go white water rafting for 9 hours, stay in a condo, and much more I will tell you about soon! I am so excited. We have not been on a REAL vacation to a new state in a LONG time. It is going to be a 9 hour drive, but I do not mind it because I love road trips. I do not know why, but I absolutely love all of the sight seeing as we drive and being with the family.

When we got home an afternoon snack was not needed so we got right into our workout. I was super sore from Jackie’s video yesterday, so today was Insanity PURE CARDIO. Man after not doing this video for a month, I felt so sick afterwards. I was drenched in a pool of sweat, redder than ever, and feeling nauseated. My lunges definitely got a workout today. Eventhough I was not feeling too well, I was proud of myself for pushing throught the whole video.

Dinner tonight was simple. We are kind of on clean out the fridge mode, so a nice summery fruit salad and PB Jay Robb Bar was in the works.

Filled with lots of antioxidants!

That is right we needed a “NO JUNK” protein bar after that killer workout!

Look at that! This bar was definitely the star of this meal
**VERDICT: This is a total go to bar after you work out. I feel like it replaced all of the minerals my body lost, and it was delish! The crispy’s on the inside are the best part 🙂

Well folks, I hope you all have a wonderful night!

QOD: Are you going on vacation this summer? Where?

Triple Threat!

13 Apr

During Third period today, my tummy was a rumbling, so a Luna PB cookie bar was eaten.

Right when we pulled up to the house after school our mom came running outside all excited. She was all “Come on girls, hurry, come inside!” lol My brother and her went baby clothes shopping all day today. And she bought some really cute stuff too. The woman sure knows how to shop! In the mail today, we received a large Package from Chobani. We have been dying to try this yogurt for months, and the fridge ‘s yogurt stash is empty, so we were pretty darn excited. They sent us one of each of their flavors. 🙂

So this afternoon’s snack was a triple Threat Yogurt Mess:

  • Split a Honey Chobani Yogurt
  • Add:

*Bakery on Main Granola

*Half of Banana Nut Kardea bar

*The tiny last of our other Greek yogurt

**Verdict: Chobani-Thank you Chobani! This greek yogurt was thick, and not watery at all like some other greek yogurts can be, and the honey had the perfect hint of sweetness. Kardea Banana Nut Bar- Woah, this bar tasted like real banana nut bar, and delicious with the creamy honey combo. Bakery On main “Nutty Cranberry Maple”- MMM, who knew that cranberries could be so good with maple flavored 🙂 *** Yummy snack, with lots of good products.

Mixed all together!

This yogurt mess was eaten in the car on the way to our brother’s house. When we got there, we all helped him organize and declutter stuff. He has alot of stuff to do to get ready for this baby, and he needs some good ol’ family help. Court and I organized his entire Linen closet which was a disaster to begin. And now, it looks perfection, with even two shelves open now for anything else to be stored. While we were there, our older sis Ashey asked to pet the cat, and it CLAWED her all down her whole arm! Now she has the biggest scratch ever, and her arm looks all puffed out, not a pretty sight. Out of all of us that went over there, I am the only one not allergic to cats, so we left in a big fat hurry. Court, Ash, and my mom’s eyes were all watering, and poor Courtney was sneezing like crazy. It was not a pretty sight. lol.

For dinner tonight everyone was craving Qdoba, so my mom gave us her card, and we went and picked up food for everyone. I hadn’t tried their naked burrito yet, so that’s what me, court, and my mom all got. My dad got the Steak Burrito, and Karstee got a chicken cheese quesidilla. I ♥ Qdoba, they know how to make some mean burrito’s, esp. their queso one.

Got any questions for us? About twins, life, etc? Ask away 🙂

XOXO Whit and Court ♥

Snowy and relaxing

7 Apr

Yesterday while I was out shopping, I picked up a few goodies, including gingerale, so we could have pomades with dinner, and other things to make some treats for fellow bloggies. Our mom made some Ham fried rice, and we had a light fluffy roll, and carrots w/ humus to pair.

This was a delicious drink, and I have been wanting to see it, ever since visiting Kath’s blog.

Since this morning is Wednesday,  we got to sleep in till 5:30 because school starts later. When we first looked out the window it was barely snowing, but then when we were done with breakfast we looked out again to a white blowing storm. Our whole car and street is covered. And quite honestly, our little car will not make it to school. So today we are going to stay home and relax as well as get some stuff done.

Breakfast was another French Meadow Cinnamon Raisin BAGEL. On one side is skippy crunchy PB and pumpkin butter, and on the other side is honey almond cream cheese.

Paired was a yogurt Parfait, and some toffee coffee.

On top was another one of the granola’s sent to us by Bakery on Main. This flavor is Apple Raisin Walnut.

Verdict: Love love the dried apples in the mix. Perfect paired with tropical fruit.

Coffee:

  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1/4 cup of hot water
  • 1/2 cup of hazelnut coffee
  • 3 drops of stevia
  • 1 pkt stevia
  • 1 tsp of cappuccino mix

And the lunch that was packed today, but will now be eaten at home is a kitchen sink salad with half of a pink lady apple, and a “trail mix.”(Dried cranberries, dried pineapple, nuts, teddy grahams, and somersaults.) The dried pineapple came from one of the many packs that were sent to us. And I love the No added sugar part. Review is to come later.
