It was a carb kinda day!

~THURSDAY July 22nd~

Hey guys ūüėõ

Even though Whit and I did not have work today we woke up early(what the heck!?!). I know, but we have a commitment, that is Ash, Whit and I. We bought Turbo Fire so that we could do it together. We are each others buddy system which means we have to schedule our workouts so that it works for all of us. Ash had to be to work early so we got up early. It is kind of nice having a group to work out with. It gives you motivation to push harder, they hold you accountable for your workouts, and you are more likely to work out. I love it! We completed the 15 HITT  and 30 sculpt class.

Breakfast was a very decadent bowl of oats!

In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup oats, 1 1/2 cup water
  • chia
  • flax
  • cinnamon
  • 1 tbs. sugar-free¬†Torani vanilla syrup

Top with:

  • 1 tbs. sugar-free¬†white choc. instant pudding(mix with 2 tbs. of water in bowl & pour over)
  • blackberries
  • mango slices
  • 1/2 banana nut vita top
  • spoonful white choc. wonderful pb

 

Lunch was a homemade pizza on a whole wheat alternative pita. We also had some fruit and green beans.

 

When we went grocery shopping with our mom today we got these. They are awesome! I already had 2 today. YUM ūüôā I do not know what it is about these cookies, but Alberton’s makes the best fresh-baked cookies. Everytime we get them they are always so soft and perfect. And they are even better if you heat them up in the microwave.

 

Dinner tonight was something that I came up with one day and have been thinking about for weeks! You remember the Al Fresco Chicken Sausage that we tried¬†for the first time a¬†few weeks back. Well¬†I came up with so many things you could¬†use it for. And so I present you to…¬†
Chicken Sausage Gnocchi

 

We started by boiling a big pot of water. Then we threw in the gnocchi for 3-4 min. We had two different kinds so we just mixed the two together.

Then we drained the gnocchi into a colander. Next we took out a skillet and sautéed some onions, spinach, cherry tomatoes, garlic, and evoo. Then we threw in the diced chicken sausage, and poured this Cheesy Ragu sauce on top!

Then top it with a little salt and pepper…

Mix it all together… and voila dinner is served!

Something that compliments this meal well is Texas Toast.

And you can never forget your greens!

This was probably the most easiest, gourmet meal to prepare. Your welcome! ūüėČ

I swear strawberry salads are the best kind there are in the Summer.

I ate this last… so that I could pick up all of the leftover sauce on my plate. lol

 It has been a carb kind of a day but whatever it was just one of those kind of days.

I admire Giuliana Rancic! She is so beautiful, talented, and she has got my dream job! 

She works¬†for E! News¬†as a reporter. Whit and I were news anchor/reporters for our school news called¬†“The Real Deal” for three years in¬†junior high. It was a blast! I loved coming up¬†fun stories to talk about and interviewing¬†everyone.¬†I¬†would love to be an RD, but¬†ultimately this would be my dream job ūüôā¬†

¬†She is also married to Bill Rancic, who is from season one of the Apprentice. They have this beautiful house in California…

and this one in Chicago. How awesome would it be to live in two states!?!

Well anywho she also has a blog called FabFitFun! She gives some awesome advice in beauty, fashion and fitness. Well I am off to watch some more old school 90210.

¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†Today is the day, the most important pics of¬†your high school career¬†¬†SENIOR PICTURES!¬†Yikes there are so many nerves going on. Our pictures are not clear till 5PM. Ahh, talk about dragging on time…Right? With all of this great motivation for morning workouts lately, we got up at 7 AM with the older sis, and totally killed another HIIT¬†workout with our inspiring buddy¬†Chalene Johnson.

Today’s workout was HIIT¬†15 along with P90X Ab Ripper X. Talk about intense! Whew, it was great ūüôā

Lemon Water has always been a favorite morning regimen for us, but finally got put to good use this morning. Usually we add a sprinkle of Cayenne Pepper to give it a little more of a kick, and to clear out everything in the throat, but this morning just Fresh simple Lemon Water was all we needed. We just took our kiddie Vitamins, and cooled off with a glass of this while thinking what sounded ideal for breakfast. If you have never been one to know the benefits of Lemon Water, I looked it up this morning, along with some other popular trends I had been questioning like having a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar.

Benefits of Lemon Water:

**Lemon and water both have clarifying actions in your body. Both lemon and water help flush out toxins in your system. Your skin can’t look healthy if your body is holding onto toxins! When you get rid of toxic waste in your system, your skin will show it first! Your skin will be the first thing you notice cause it looks clear and not sallow and full of acne.**

**Lemon can help relieve many digestion problems when mixed with hot water. These include nausea, heartburn, constipation and parasites. It is even known to help relieve hiccups when consumed as a juice. Lemon juice acts as a liver tonic and helps you digest your food by helping your liver produce more bile.**

**Because of its high Vitamin C content, it is used to prevent and treat many infections, hasten wound healing, and diminish allergies. Lemon juice also relieves symptoms of asthma, tonsillitis, and sore throats.**

This morning I had real bad allergies, and this stuff totally cleared them out. No more sneezing or runny nose, gotta love it ūüėČ

¬†Maple Coffee Oats are amazing, and if you haven’t tried them yet, YOU GOTTA! This time only a 1/3 cup of oats was used just so the addition of Cinna-Apples could be added.

 In the Mix:

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 2/3 cup coffee
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/6 cup egg whites (1/2 of a third of egg whites)

*Blend in blender, then pour in pan

Add:

  • Maple Extract
  • Stevia

*Toppings include:

  • PB
  • Plain greek yogurt
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar-Free Syrup
  • Apple slices

 You remember how we were telling you about the clothing line we began designing, and what the brand would look like. Here is one of the designs I came up with for Cohitney.

¬†Our mom’s b-day is coming this Friday June 2nd, and Court and I are going to make her cake just like we’ve done the past couple of years. We love to come up with a theme, then pick a flavor, and create an awesome cake. But this year were kinda stumped. What kinda cake design/ Flavor should we go for?

¬†Pretty soon it’s time to eat some lunch, then Start getting ready. The showers have already been taken, brows were plucked, and toenails painted. We’re getting some pictures together, and would love someday, if we could take some cute pictures together in fashionista skirts or dresses and pose like the wonderful MK&Ash.

This picture is totally one of our faves of them two!

>Update: Lunch was a tuna salad pita with frozen grapes(OMFG, taste like sorbet), and an Keebler Apple Sauce baked cookie.

  • 1 pita
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 2 carrots
  • 5 grape tomatoes
  • spinach
  • 1 spoonful of plain greek yogurt
  • A ton of Spike to season

After lunch we got ready for pics, and that took some time considering we got the thickest hair known to man. Seriously it takes a lot of product and time to curl this head of hair.

My room is green, black, and white with the theme of peace and polka dots!

Here’s court taking all of our clothes out to the car, yay it was almost time to finally leave. lol

Before we left though, we had to load up on a snack to hold us over till dinner, so Jay Robb Protein bars came to the rescue.

**Verdict: These taste just like a real fudge brownie. They were so good, you could even call it dessert. What it really reminded me of though was little debbie cosmic brownies. Ahh to die for. Yum!

When we got to the Park for the pictures, the wind was blowing like Crazy!!! Not good, esp. when we had to fix our hair every two seconds. It all went well though, and we ended up finishing the whole thing in about an hour. The worst part just had to be wearing Fall clothes(jeans, long sleeves), when it is 90 degrees.

With such a heat wave, nothing sounded better than a cold Cherry Bomb, and rice pecan bread for dinner.

What a great combo it was ūüôā On top of the bread was PB, Plain greek yogurt, Apricot Preserves, coconut, and walnuts.

We finished the season of 90210 we were on last night, so that means a fresh season to start watching tonight. Yay, well Have a relaxing Summer day! You could even give someone a compliment, make their day, flash a smile.

Just a typical day…

Tuesday, June 29th

Now that I am getting older…. I have turned into an early bird. You know how it is¬†when you are starting to get into your teen years, you stay up all night, and wake up the next day at about 10 or 11 am. Now after 1 whole year of having to wake up at 5 or 6 am every single day it has just become a habit. Even when I have a day off, I still find myself automatically waking up early. My body gets tired at a human hour and wake up at a human hour. I think it is official to say that I am turning into an adult quite fast. Do any of you teens wake up early… or do you get 10-14 hrs. of sleep every time you can?

Well we ended up waking up at 5 am this morning, and completed Turbo Fire’s Fire 45 class, and stretch 10 class. After yesterdays P90x legs and back and todays workout I could barely bend down to pick up anything all day, my legs were so sore! I love when I am sore though. That is how I know my muscles are confused and working hard. lol ūüôā

 

Breakfast this morning was an overnight oats and green tea sweetened with stevia.

¬†The oats were plain jane today. We used a container of Siggi’s Orange Ginger, strawberries, and granola.

 **VERDICT: The creamiest yogurt I have ever tried turned into the best bowl of overnight oats I have ever had. The hints of orange made this a perfect summer meal.

 

 

¬†For lunch today, we ordered off the “lighter fare menu” at work. Remember last week when I talked about how calorie packed Einstein’s egg sandwiches are, well this Egg White Turkey Sausage sandwich on good grains weighs in at only 400 calories. It was so awesome. The best part of it is the ancho salsa. Together our total came to about $10, but with our employee meal discount we only ended up paying $2. SCORE! ¬†

 

 

¬†Dinner tonight was a buffalo wing chicken quesidilla with spinach dip and salsa on the side. ūüôā Our whole family went crazy over these. Two thumbs up ūüėČ

 

Well I am off to watch some old school 90210. Senior pics. are tomorrow!
