It’s been quite the year!

16 Jul

First….how about we FF>>> through a year of pics to get ya’ll somewhat up to date where we are at in life.

Whit had quite the job dilemma. There was Einsteins, Lifetime Fitness, Einsteins, Lifetime, both… IT WAS AN EXHAUSTING MESS

And then finally Einsteins. We were split up for quite a few months, then reunited once more at a completely different store than we have worked at the past two years. This store has taken some getting used to considering it was ALL BOYS! We spiced the place up a bit though, and can now say we are like one of the dudes.  We are the ultimate manager duo. Watch out!

Well Court and Michael finally split after a pretty long 10 month relationship. Things were getting rocky, and Court found that she was losing herself.

Meanwhile, Whit found love this past year. Meet Clint. 🙂

There was a lot of boy drama and craziness this year. After a few months from splitting from Michael, court started to live her own little fairytale. A certain cutie named Isaac who was beyond romantic asked her out in the cutest way! He cored an apple and put it on our windshield. It’s a long cute story, but lets just say the way they met had to deal with apples. Hehehe.

Don’t know about you guys, but we are kind of Instagram Addicts. It is the coolest pic app by far!

With the whole mess of our employment this year, we attempted to get out of  Einstein’s and find office jobs. There were millions of interviews, and a lot of disappointment to say the least.

Our hairstylist is the coolest gay guy on the planet! And his coloring is the best I’ve seen.  We experimented with our hair like crazy thanks to him. It is fun to change up your color, or play up highlights.

Along with Experimentation, Whit Pierced her lip.  So she now has her ears, cartilidge, nose, and lip. She’s a little cray cray.

We turned 19 this year, and it was a RAGE. Seriously, the most fun and insane bday we have ever had.

Car troubles were beyond annoying. First up, someone backed into our lexus while we were at work, then drove off! A** Holes. So that was a pretty $800 repair. Then, Whit blew out our tire on the Honda on the interstate, and well…that led to having Pink Wheels for that car. Haha, funny how things work out.

We kicked some serious booty with school this past year. I’m talking 13-15 Credits a semester, on top of working full time. Working out was very limited at the time, and we felt like we were gaining a freshman 15…I blame ANATOMY. That class was twice a week, for 4 hrs. Court passed with a C, and Whit was lucky to pass with ONE POINT!

ANATOMY took up pretty much all our studying. We were learning chapter after chapter, meanwhile staying hours in the lab.

During Finals week, we were beyond excited to be ALMOST DONE with the school year from HELL.

Yeah Check out them HAWT Wheels. We’re pretty cool…I mean who else has Pink Wheels. ummm NO ONE!!

With all our good guy friends, we decided to learn how to fix up our own cars. Here whit is replacing our brakes when they went out.

College Parties were pretty awesome this year. Just Saying. Here from Left to right is Nikki, Court, Dave, Whit, and Isaac.

After feeling like we were completely out of shape from such a rough school year, we decided to join a fitness group. Say hello to our new addiction called “Fitness in the City.” We work out with these rockstars twice a week, bootcamp style, and it kicks your butt!

On top of that we have been turbo kickin it up with JD and Chalene. Have you met them? WE HAVE.

How it is even possible to get grounded at 19 is beyond me, but yeah it happened. Here was our lil nephew Ty’s reaction when we told him “your aunties are grounded!” He might have been in more shock then us. LOL

You guys all met Dave a few post back, well it is very sad, but he moved away last week. He now lives in Portland. He was Whit’s gay husband, and it is pretty sad. He was the best of the best girlfriends you could have.

Little Ty Ty is such a big boy now! He is about a year and a half! He’s walking, running, talking.

Any say hello to nephew number two.  Meet Eric. 🙂

I must say we have the two cutest little nephews in the world!

This Summer we have been taking advantage of all the fitness BEAUTIFUL Colorado offers. We have been hiking, biking, rafting.

And Fitness on the Rocks at Red Rocks.

Hello Gorgeous Readers,

We figured it has been way way way too long, and we are completely past due for a blog post, so we are here to say we kinda sorta missed you guys. This past year off from blogging was insane, and when I say insane, I mean we both pretty much lost our shit, but that whole school year of hell, and those hours of work we put in are truly paying off in the moment. As you can see from the pictures above we had quite the year! HAHA Ok, so you might be wondering, why would we even come back to blogging after taking off for so long. In all honesty, we both talked and missed it like CRAZY! It’s fun to share all of our thoughts and lifestyles with people all around the world who can relate. With starting to blog again, you will find all of our post will not be mainly focused on food as what it was before. Instead our new direction will show the 19 year old Court and Whit who lead an all around healthy balanced young life. We are quickly approaching our twenties, and just about finishing up our associates degrees. We want to show you what it is like to live in the beautiful Denver, CO. We will talk about trendy places we like to hangout, the fitness groups we have joined, the boys we are dating, the college life, deals and steals since we are pretty amazing shoppers, and the continued journey to becoming Personal Trainers. Stay Tuned!!

XOXO Court& Whit

The Last Vacation

19 Aug

Guess what we are doing right now?

We’re running loose in the Ameristar Hotel! LOL… JK we are too young to gamble, so we’re lying around in this luxurious sweet watching some movies. It might not sound like much fun to you, but I have having a blast. Sometimes you just need to get out of “suburbia Life”! Ya know what I mean. On Monday, we will be back to our repetitive schedule of waking up early, going to school, working out, hw, sleep, and work on the weekends. I am too worried though because it seems like the more stuff you have going on in your life then the faster the days go by.

Yesterday, we finally let ourselves sleep in, and decided on an afternoon workout instead. That of which was a HIIT 15. It was short, but effective. Being the overnight oat queens that we are, we had “Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats” today 🙂

  • 1 pkt. instant quaker blueberry muffin oats
  • 6 oz cont. Dannon light n’ fit vanilla
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • blueberries

Top with:

  • 1 slice zucchini bread
  • chopped cinna-sugar almonds
  • Justin’s Honey PB

These oats were glorious and filling. We both were not even hungry until 2:30.

After breakfast we got down to packing, which took a lot longer than anticipated. Court and I basically packed the house. lol. Oh well, better to be overpacked than not have something. When we were finally all packed, it was time to go grocery shopping for some munchies. We made a quick trip to King Soopers and Sprouts and came back with a good variety of loot for everyone. 🙂

As soon as Ash got off work we did our workout, whipped up a quick-lunch and hit the road. We had to eat it in the car so that we could attempt to beat the 5:00 traffic(Yeah that did not happen).

Whit and I somehow happened to keep ourselves sane in the 102 degree weather on the way up! These thins are so yummy, especially because the pb on the bottom was all melted. If you are going to have these for a snack then I would recommend pairing them with some fruit. They were good, but not that filling.

With all the traffic, it took us about 2 hours before we even reached the mountains. When we got here, the line was around the corner to check in. Who woulda thought so many people went gambling in the middle of the week! So Whit and I just sat down and fun taking pictures.

We were in the other room so you cannot even begin to tell how many people there were in line.

This was not even half the junk that we brought!

Finally in the room. THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET!

We were not on as high of a level this time!

Awww… RELAXATION!

With all of the stuff that we packed, you’d think that we would have remembered the paper plates… NOPE! Everyone was down gambling so Whit and I prepared ourselves dinner. Not too shabby. A turkey sammie with nut thins on top rocks!

And for the side: Cinnamon goldfish and Animal Crackers

These always remind me of being a kid. Whenever we would go grocery shopping with our mom, whit and I would sit in the basket and eat our Animal Crackers. Then when we were done shopping my mom would pay for them. It is weird how some things can bring back so many memories.

Stacked high with a pepperjack slice on the bottom.

The best part of the night had to be watching this movie. I have waited all Summer to see this. And I have gotta say it was worth it. It just wouldn’t be the same if we did not watch a Nickolas Sparks movie while staying in the Ameristar! It was Karstee’s first time seeing this movie and she cried. Us three love chick flicks. Have you guys seen this movie yet? What did you think? I wish Liam Hemsworth was my boyfriend! So cute 😛

This morning’s breakfast involved a package that arrived in the mail yesterday from SunLand PB.

What Makes Valencia Peanuts Unique

Quoted from the website:

“We call them nuts, but like all peanuts, Valencias are legumes, more closely related to peas and beans with one important difference: they grow beneath the ground.

Valencias are smaller, sweeter and have more intense flavor than other varieties of peanuts. They have three to five kernels in each shell and are grown almost exclusively in eastern New Mexico. In fact 90% of the Valencia peanuts produced in the US are grown within 120 miles of our plant. Portales claims the honor of being the “Valencia Peanut Basin of the Nation.”

Farmers plant Valencia peanuts in May in the sandy soil of eastern New Mexico and west Texas. From a single peanut comes a beautiful plant which blooms in late August. Each blossom drops a “peg” which implants itself into the ground to grow a tasty Valencia peanut…more than 20 per plant.

Valencia peanuts love the sandy soil of the Portales valley and the surrounding high plains. After the peanuts are dug in the fall, they dry naturally in the sunny autumn days which are unique to the area. It’s a climate that is vital for the Valencia- a time for the peanuts to be “kissed by the sun” before they’re gathered for processing.”

Whit and I made instant oats for the whole fam. for breakfast this morning! We enjoyed a bowl of Chai Apple Active Lifestyle Oatmeal, topped with Caramel PB. I loved these oats. If you love chai tea then these oats are for you. They have a hint of spice in them! I loved the peanut butter even more though! It has the same texture/ taste of PB loco peanut butter. It just melted perfectly right in the center of the oats. And caramel flavor omg! This was such a decadent bowl of oats. 😛

Today has been mostly been spent by the pool and hot tub. And now I am enjoying this lunch with a Tazo Chai Creme. Yum!

Well I only have the rest of today and tomorrow to soak up the rest of my Summer break and then it is back to a hectic schedule. I know this year is going to be tough, but it is my senior year and I do not want to stress. This is going to be the year that I figure out where I am going in life. I am kinda excited! Whit and I are thinking of just starting at community college for all of our general classes and then moving on to a University. I have not really found any scholarships that apply to me except a few twin ones, but you have to go to college in their state. I do not know where else to look for scholarships. If you guys know of any awesome websites or scholarships, we are all ears!

Goodbye Jackson Hole, we’ll miss you :(

12 Jun

Were Back!

The trip was amazing, we truly could have not asked for a better week. Jackson Hole was gorgeous, and we miss it already. Luckily we have managed to unpack all of our bags, fumigate our bedrooms, have a nice homemade meal, and prep breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. We have work Sun.-Tues. and we close tomorrow, so better to have a more relaxed morning, than a hectic one. Now instead of giving you a day to day recap, Here are a ton of the pictures.

Get ready there are a lot…

We all woke up at 4, and were out of the house by 5. Court and I brought our breakfast on the road. Cliff bars, PB apples, and Coffee. Simple.

-Car Ride adventures-

There was magazine reading, sleeping, iPod listening, and of course complaining. It was a 10 hour trip of course.

Below- Here’s Ash sticking her head out the window, it was hot out!

We got lost at one point, so our dad pulled over and had to Pull out Jane, AKA the GPS.

 Welcome to Jackson Hole Wyoming!

We stayed in this little area called Teton Village. Which is a bunch of Condos, right next to the Tetons. We were literally steps away from the Ski lift and Tram.

Here was our bedroom… little twin beds side by side

And this was the family room area, where we watched Red box movies at night.

Our first morning there, we made Blueberry Hungry Jack Pancakes!!!

Light, Fluffy, and perfection topped with Banana, syrup. And then paired with some White Chocolate mocha Dunkin Doughnuts coffee. All made in our condo Kitchen. The Dunkin Doughnuts coffee was really good, now I see what all the rave on the commercials is about.

Our parents came to Jackson Hole 22 years ago for their Honeymoon, so there was a lot of memories. We even drove by the motel they stayed in, and walked to all the places they visited, including this Antler Arch, which they have an old Picture under. With none of us even born yet. weird.  We rekindled the memory with a newer up to date picture.

While at Yellowstone, we went to “Old Faithful”

Then, we waited till the Geyser shot off. It was an awesome 2 min show. That took about an hour wait. lol

Here’s mom and dad before the Whitewater rafting experience.

My mom and I by the Upper and lower Falls in Yellowstone.

 PB&J Oats!

Yeah, we found some Stunna Shades~

Lol, our daddy is so cute in this Cowboy hat. 🙂

Jenny Lake had this beautiful View for our Hike.

While on the hike, we ended up seeing a bear in the first 10 minutes. Our mom is deathly afraid, so she ran back to the car, while the rest of us went on with the other people on the trail. We told her just to stay with the group but she didn’t listen. So she sat in the car for 4 hours while we hiked.

The weather started out great, but then quickly turned to pouring rain. Which is not fun, when you’re in jeans or cotton like Ash and Court were. There was so much mud as we went on, if you look at my jeans, they were covered on the bottom.

The Hidden Falls were awesome, and they were quite a Hike to get to.

After the whole Bear incident at Jenny Lake, this picture was priceless.

Here is the bump that I almost died at. In Ashley’s words “Man Whit you totally just ate that.” Lol I watched the ground the rest of the day

They say Moose are the hardest animal to spot, but there was one right around our condo, so we hurried up and snapped a pic with them. (The mamma and babies).

Well your all caught up, it was a Candid week, and this photographer is tired.

Work is in the AM, but it’s Summer so F going to bed early. Lol. Talk to y’all later. Also, don’t forget you have until Monday to enter our Giveaway.

XOXO Court & Whit♥
