Bring a lil’ Carrot Cake into your Life!~

Fridays are great aren’t they? Today Court and I were tired, we did not even get up till like 8:30 which felt really late compared to usual.  I was actually up before Court, but then like the nice little sis I am, I woke her up gently with “Good morning Sunshine, Let’s make Pancakes.” LOL. She was all “Whitney I’m tired.” But then I went downstairs started the pot of coffee and as soon as I went back up she was awake. After much debate on which pancakes to make, I came up with Carrot Cake Pancakes. The idea was genius, and here is how they turned out:   

   

 Ingredients   

Serves 2: Makes 7 pancakes(3 1/2 each)~ 1/4 cup mix per pancake 

  1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  1/3 cup Old Fashioned Oats
  1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  1 tsp Cinnamon
  1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  1/4 cup Shredded carrots
  2 tbsp Raisins
  1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  1/4 cup Egg White
  2 tbsp Walnuts
  2 Pineapple Ring Slices

MMM, bite of heaven right there

  Ash wanted us to meet her for lunch today on her break, so She made a HUGE veggie wrap for us all to share, and then we got Froyo at Yogurtland.   

 

 Clock wise: Ash, Mine, Court’s   

   

 My mix:   

  • PB, Vanilla Wafer, Coffee, Carmel Praline Froyo’s
  • White Chocolate chips
  • Pecans
  • Heath Bar
  • Vanilla Wafers

 

   

Court’s Mix:   

  • PB, Duch Cocoa, Cheesecake, Coffee Froyo
  • Brownie pieces
  • cookie dough
  • Coconut
  • Fruity pebbles

   

 Ash’s Mix:   

  • Strawberry Lemonade, and Vanilla Wafer Froyo
  • Fruit
  • Vanilla Wafers

    

  When Ashley and our mom got off work, we all did the Fire 55 EZ class, and it was a fun sweaty mess. After that went to BIG 5 to look for some discounted Hiking boots. If you have not been there in a while, Go! They have got some killer deals on all Fitness equipment. It is like a TJMAXX for Excercise gear. Awesome 🙂 On monday all of us girls are going on a long 8 hour hike. Yikes! Girl’s gotta be prepared for something like that, so some new shoes were in desperate need. Dinner was simply leftovers from lastnight. We were good girlies, and ate the old food first instead of out tonight. Also, btw we searched high and low for the Carrot Cake Larabars today, and still no luck at all, even Whole foods had none!  Court and I have really wanted to go see Ramona and Beesuas. IDK how you spell that. lol. Any who did it come out today? 

Our past with Cottage Cheese has not been a positive one, but we have decided to give it another go. Does anyone have a great recipe or favorite way to use Cottage cheese? Also, share your best and favorite pancake recipes. Perhaps we will make them next Friday.  

  Fun-Fact-Friday~~

 

 For our sixteenth birthday, I threw a big surprise Party for Court with all of our BFF’s. It was 80’s themed, and everyone dressed up. We did karaoke, watched 16 candles, and even the cake was some old school records. Here is a pic from that night:

Oh what time can do to a fellow

Happy Friday Friends 🙂 

        So basically this morning, we were in the mindset that we had work at 7, when really we had it at 8. Our older sister Karstee, came into my room and was like what time did you have to get up. I said 5, and looked that the clock read 5:25. Then, in panic I ran across the bathroom to courts room(Jack in Jill). I woke her up immediately, and then we were rushing and going crazy like idiots washing our faces. LOL. Then like 2 min later Courtney said “Whit we don’t even have work till 8!” We felt stupid…proof that you really don’t think straight in the first couple minutes you wake up. HAHA, wow since we were already up, we just decided to go downstairs and have an earlier breakfast. Our morning combo consisted of Strawberry protein overnight oats, and a homemade iced white chocolate mocha.

Strawberry protein Over night oats

  •  1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup plain Coconut Kefir
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbs Jay Robb Strawberry Whey protein
  • 2 big spoonfuls of plain greek yogurt

In the morning added:

  • 1/2 tbs goji/silvered almonds
  • 1/2 tbs mighty maple PB
  • handful of kashi berry granola cereal
  • 1/2 100 cal pack yogurt covered pretzels (6 in total)

 WOW a really good combo. And the pretzels tasted like white chocolate 🙂

 Lunch:

  • Veggie Morningstar chicken nugget salad
  • PB maple protein bar
  • Sugar free chocolate pudding (With cherries/kashi to mix in)~like chocolate covered cherries

 

 When we got home, Court and I fueled up with an unpictured yogurt mess, because it was so HHHHOOOOTTTTT!!! Nothing but cold creamy yogurt sounded any better. Then, when Ashley got home we went and picked up our dad’s B-day and fathers day Present. All of which included a lot of Golf stuff and some of his favorite things like a goodtimes giftcard, and Goodnplenty’s(he is obsessed with those gross tasting candies).

Dinner:

  • Fruit and nut powerbagel topped with honey nut cream cheese, and honey butter
  • Egg white spinach scramble~Green chile on top

 Fun Fact Friday

We have not really done Fun-Fact Friday in a while, so I thought we should do one for fun tonight. Courtney and I have thought about starting our own clothing line at one point together, and me(whit) being the great artist I am drew out a ton of designs in all of my sketchbooks. The brand name we came up with was “Cohitney.”  Just combining our names actually sounded great. And a possible logo we thought of was “More than just beauty.” I was going to post what  one of the designs looked like, but the computer is not letting me.

We are going to a really awesome amusement park in Golden tomorrow, and a yummalicious Crepe place for breakfast. YAY!

Friday has finally arrived

What a week ladies and possibly gents!

HW was out of hand, only one nap was taken, and senioritis is already kicking in a year early.  This final quarter is it, then we are free for three months! I swear teachers just love to pile on every last-minute assignment that they can, so a million projects and assignments were thrown at us this week. Last night after I finished my hand felt numb from writing so much. Apparently they don’t know kids want to get away from school when we come home. Well, it is official, we can say week two of school is crossed off, let the countdown continue. 🙂 Our go to breakfast this morning, was a Cinnamon Roll Breakfast cookie.

In the mix:

  • 1/3 cup of oats
  •  1 tsp of Vanilla Whey protein
  • 1 tsp of chia
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbs of creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • 2 chopped walnuts
  • 1 chopped pitted date
  • 2 tbs of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 pkt of stevia

*refrigerate overnight*

 

Then, in the morning you top with the icing! 

 -Icing-

  • A few spoonfuls of Cinnamon roll yogurt
  • 1 tsp of reduced fat cream cheese
  • Drizzle of agave

**Heat in microwave for 30 sec, then whisk**

 Then even more cinnamon♥

 And to go with this lovely we made a cinnamon dolce latte:

  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1/4 cup of hot water
  • 1/2 cup of hazelnut coffee
  • 1 pkt of stevia
  • 1 tbs of fat-free Cinnamon vanilla creamer
  • 1/2 tbs of cappuccino mix

~Fun Fact Friday~

Has anyone ever watched the movie Max Keeble’s Big move? Well if you have, do you recall Robe boy? His robe wearing obsession is just like Courtney and I lol.

 Every morning we wear our robes, and even if the house is freezing, we will wear them all day. No one else in our family does this but us, and they all joke about it. lol We wear our robes in the morning, when its cold, and right out of the shower until we go to bed.

 Along with our Robes, we are the Slipper Queens. Comfy is the key when you’re at home. So we both have a pair of cute little slipper boots!

For lunch today, we met up with our Mom and Chick-fil-a for a Chargrilled and Cookie Parfait, and now the rest of the day is all ours. What to do what to do 😉

I’m really thinking about experimenting with bar making this weekend, because Court and I have got some good recipes up our sleeves. There could possibly be a good giveaway next week, so be on the lookout. But speaking of giveaways, you still have till Sunday evening to enter our Chobani Giveaway.
