No dilly dally

That has been the motto of lately. HA! If any of you have done the Turbo Fire workout program than you may or may not recall Monica Gray who says “No dilly dally dilly dally, just go hard with intensity, get the job done and then go back home to your real life.” This past week and weekend has consisted of 3 days of work, school, homework, and Working out. Yikes! Is anyone else struggling with the back to school routine?

            Monday morning was the First day of school. Well kinda. Do you remember how we told you how we are also taking two night-time college courses this year? Since we are seniors, this year we only have to take 5 classes, but since we have those 2 colleges courses, then we only really have to take 3 courses at school. After talking to our counselor, our schedule got all rearranged beautifully! We have highschool every other day now 🙂 The three classes we are taking at school are:


  • 1b- AP Phycology(We have this together)
  • 2b-English 121 Lit
  • 3b-Precalc


  • 1b-AP Phycology
  • 2b-College Algebra
  • 3b-English 121 Lit

Then, on Tuesdays and Thursday nights from 6-8:40 we go to Humanities and Art Appreciation. The school pays for these classes, and so basically by the time we really do go to college we will be entering as sophomores. Pretty Cool, right? What I have learned so far is that College courses are way more chill and layed back than highschool. Court and I had a lot of fun last night at our Humanities class, and our teacher looks like Santa. lol! All I can say is having every other day off is Awesome 🙂 We both got all our HW done last night, so that today we could just relax. And it was super nice to sleep in, in the middle of the week. We even had enough energy to do an intense workout. We managed to whip out 40 minutes of INSANITY, plus some AB action. Cheers to a great senior year ahead!

              Here has been some of the eats from lately

             Turkey chipotle cheddar melt with coconut glaze fruit salad

Overnight oats with puffed millet and millet bread thrown in

Amy’s burrito broken up into a Veggie salad. It was a mexicana salad! 🙂

PB&Banana smoothie w/ some Zuchini bread dippage

Half a Chicken sandwich on chipotle bread from Smash Burger

PB Fluff&Yogurt pancake for dessert

Chai Tea Protein oats (made w/ cottage cheeese, oats & egg whites)

Leftover Sushi and fruit salad

Chocolate Cherry Bomb!

Peperjack Brat from Sams Club w/ Sweet potato

Toffee Chocolate Protein Oats

The first day of school involved getting ready in my room

And the outfit choices were these.

A dress for muah.

And Court pulled out the Bermudas and bohemian shirt

Finally we got to try the CARROT CAKE LARABAR!!!! OMFG, it was amazing.

Check out this delish creation: A broccoli cheddar soup stuffed bell pepper. Yum.

Have you ever heard of Navita’s Naturals? Well if not, their products are defiantly something to rave about. They sell nutrient rich food that range from Chia, flax, cacao, dried fruits and nuts, fruit powders, and much more. In our lovely package we received Trail mix, Pomegranate powder, and Mulberries.

The trail mix has a variety of different dried fruits I have never even tried. And to a surprise they were all GOOD! This is looking like a great school snack already. 🙂

The first thing we decided to make with this Pomegranate powder was POM overnight oats.

We mixed in 1 tbs into a 1/2 cup of oats a little plain greek yogurt, and the addition of Amazing grass berry mix.

**Verdict~Very fruity and perfectly sweet.

This Elvis Wich was great fuel for a 2 hr and 40 min college class

Maple coffee oats never fail!

And neither do Fresco Chicken Sausage w/ a Sweet Potato

Guess What, Tomorrow is Friday for us!!! We just gotta go to our 3 classes at school, and then Art Appreciation at night, and Friday NO SCHOOL. 🙂 That well be 100% motivation to get through tomorrow. Easy Piecy right. School out at 12:45, go home to eat lunch, workout, prep dinner, work on a lil’ HW,  go to college class, and then FREEDOM! Now remember tomorrow “No dilly dally dilly dally! Just go and get the job done.” HAHAHA. Make that your motto, trust us it will get you through the day. Life is good 🙂

    I am totally have a hard time getting used to my new schedule…same story here: school, work, exercise, CRAZINESS! We just gotta give it time…

    I am in love with your eats as of late! Everything looks amazingly delicious!

    sooo many good eats in this post!! i love that you added millet puffs + millet bread into your overnight oats! great idea! the millet bread is like croutons!! also, i need to get my hands on that carrot cake larabar… it is tempting me, so badly. i think that is the one larabar i DESPERATELY wanna try. i’m glad you enjoyed it… (it confirms my desperation). also, cute outfits! love it. and i love navitas! that trail mix looks like da bomb… inca berries and mulberries are 2 of my favorite dried fruits! the inca berry is so tart and yummy

    Totally jealous of your guys’ schedule! I still spend 7 hrs/day in the good ole high school. I am taking 4 college classes and agree they are much more laid back (except calc of course!) I take advanced psych online, and my public speaking and comp I classes are broadcasted through the tv! It’s awesome lol. Senior yr is quite alright if I do say so myself!!

    You have so many good meals! I think I am going to buy some chai tea so that I can make oats with it and pancakes too! I like your oat creations so much. I need to start making my oats more fancy. I love adding protein powder, but I need some crunchy mix ins as well!

      For our Chai tea protein pancakes, we blended in the blender:
      -1 pkt Active lifestyle Chai Tea oatmeal
      -1/2 cup cottage cheese
      -1/3 cup egg whites
      And then you get like 4 pancakes out of it 🙂

    Your schedule is flat-out AWESOME. I’m only a sophomore, but I don’t think that even the seniors at our school get to take college courses and enter college as sophomores! And your eats have been amazing as usual. You should do a compilation of your oaty creations 😉

      For our Toffee Chocolate Protein Oats we used:
      -1/3 cup oats
      -1 scoop chocolate Amazing meal
      -1 1/2 tbs Carmel Toffee Fudge Protein Powder
      -1/4 cup puffed millet
      -1 container Carmel Okios yogurt
      -1/4 cup almond milk
      -1/4 cup egg whites (cooked in the microwave for 45 sec, then mixed in)
      -1/2 pink lady apple

    Loved the back-to-school outfits! ❤ It reminds me that I have no idea what I am going to wear for the first day of school and it is on Monday!!! (I don't have that problem with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th day, etc because I have to wear uni's!)

    I noticed you both have had the bloggie for a while now and was wondering how do you juggle blogging, homework, school, friends, workouts, etc.? You two are obviously good students (like myself) and know that you probably don't skip homework to blog so instead of making this comment even longer than it already is…I also ask: Have you ever had any problems juggling it all? How do you do it?

      Beleive us it is not easy! Especially last year, when we had school every single day all day + Workout + 2 full days of work + HW + Free time. Yikes! Let just say we went a little crazy last year. lol. But there is two of us so that always does help. One of us can be making dinner, while the other one is putting on the pics or starting to write out a blogpost. But just getting in a routine is what has helped us. We always have breakfast, lunch, snacks, and school outfits all made and picked out the night before. Along with that we schedule what time we will do our workout, and workout we are doing. It takes a lot of planning, but then the next day runs so much more smoothly. As far as hw and friends go, that is no problem, because we are in a lot of the same classes so we either work on the HW together, or one of us each does a diff. class, and swap papers. lol.

    Love those first day outfits! I’m so jealous of your school schedule! I have to get up at 5:30 every day so I can have a real breakfast and be at the bus stop by 6:40 school starts at 7:20 and I get out at 2 home at 3. I literally have not a moment of free time! I manage my school’s volleyball team so a few days a week I won’t get home until 6 or 7! Enjoy your relaxed schedule and think of me freaking out every 5 mins! I am trying to enjoy every last moment of my summer before school starts!
