Attack of the Manna Bears!!!….

24 Jun

Howdy friends. This is the term we would be using if we were going to country Jam with all the rest of our siblings. But no, we gotta Work! They all left this morning for Grand Junction, and will be camping up there all weekend. No fair, we wanna camp.  But we got work, blah.

Today’s shift was from 9-4, so we stuck to our plans for an early morning sweat sessh at the Gym. And when your waking up to just straight working out, no b-fast, than a Nuun tablet  and half a Bora Bora will give you phenomenal energy like it did for us.

Nuun Lemon Lime Verdict- We liked this flavor waaaay more than the Berry one, this one was more like the flavor for powerade or Gatorade. Much more refreshing to taste. And just like the berry, it gave a ton of energy to push through an early rough workout.

While at our gym, Fitness 19, we did HIIT circuits on the elliptical and treadmill totaling out to be 30 min of cardio, then did about 20 minutes of weights/back strengthening.

We were the winner of Alisha’s giveaway for Manna bears which are all natural gummy kid vitamins. And they are truly the best~Thanks girly! After showering up, and putting on some make up, we both let our hairs dry while eating breakfast and blog reading. The meal started with our first serving of Manna Bears. We ♥ Kiddie vitamins! hehe…

This morning’s combo was Chocolate covered strawberry protein overnight oats, and a white-chocolate iced coffee. (Note homemade iced coffee is amazing, and now we I truly can see why Tina a.k.a. Carrots N’ Cake raves about it).

 In the mix:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup kefir
  • 1 tbs Jay Robb Strawberry Whey protein powder
  • 1/2 tbs Carnation instant Chocolate Breakfast Essentials
  • 3 sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 tbs carob chips
  • sprinkle of flax/chia seeds

-In the morning add-

  • 3 big spoonfuls vanilla yogurt
  • 5 chopped almonds
  • handful of goji berries

White chocolate iced coffee

  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbs white chocolate liquid creamer
  • 1 pkt stevia in the raw
  • Ice
  • Cold/Room temp brewed coffee

  • Veggie shrimp salad
  • Pink lady apple

Dinner tonight has consisted of a a kid syle meal~~ Grilled ham&Cheese, celrey sticks w/ hummus, and a pickle. Beat that dinner. MMM.

One more day of work tomorrow, then we FINALLY have a day off. I am so psyched. Tomorrow is Friday What are your plans?

I LOVE GUMMY VITAMINS! They’re SO cute, and so fun to eat, haha 🙂

Those overnight oats look awesome, and kudos to ya’ll for getting a nice morning workout in. I find that morning workouts totally make my day smoother, and more energized, don’t you think so too?

    Love ya!

Yes, the day runs SO much smoother, and I love that I already have my workout done!

Love that breakfast, it looks so delish! And I love homemade iced coffee too, its so much cheaper than Starbucks, and white chocolate! Yum!

Nice dedication on getting up so early to workout! I’m a night howl all the way so I give you major brownie points for that one (esp. because I can see from the picture that it was even still dark outside). Gummy bears&&gummy bear vitamins used to be my favorite. There’s just something so cute and fun about them. No matter what you age you are, gummy bear vitamins bring out the kid in you. All natural makes them even tempting (do you know if they’re vegan?) Your iced coffee sounds great but I don’t drink coffee. Have you ever made a tea latte?

    Have a lovely day!

I know gummy vitamins are the BEST! Those are just something I cannot let go of lol. I don’t know exactly if they are vegan, but the ingredient list is on this website:
We have tried tea latte’s. I love those just as much as I do Iced Coffee 🙂

Hahha I keep thinking you got take out from Starbucks 🙂 The cup is adorable!
Ahhh pickles! I loooooove pickles in my sandwiches 😀

How was the Bora Bora bar?

    • CourtandWhit June 25, 2010 at 8:14 PM #

I know I cannot get enough of this cup. It is my new fav. I have to wash it everyday just so I can use it again the next day. lol I love pickles too… we put them with every sandwich at work, so I got in the habit of doing it at home too! lol

The Bora Bora was fantastic. I have never tried a bar with pistachios before, but it was pretty darn good and oh yeah VERY soft.

Ahh, way to go on the early work-out! During the school year my family and I have gone to the gym at 7 AM (which is early for us) so I know that’s hard.

Mmm, chocolate covered strawberry protein overnight oatmeal?! Count me in! That sounds amazing; I will definitely be making a vegan version soon. 🙂

Btw, I love the new blog layout! It’s way cute, and the argyle background is adorable. 🙂

Love your kid’s style dinner, lol. I eat kid’s style everyday. 🙂 Food tastes better when it looks fun.

Aww. . . do you guys remember the gum ball vitamins? I had those for a little while. 🙂

    • CourtandWhit June 25, 2010 at 8:10 PM #

I do remember the gum vitamins… I never tryed them though. We always had Flinstones lol.

Gummy vitamins, yay! I think I need to start taking a kiddie’s multivitamin. These manna bears look great (are they sour? They look like they’re covered in sour powder like sour skittles!) And iced coffee would sound awesome right now if I didn’t have a headache… 😦 And I love your kiddie meal. Such classics 😀

    • CourtandWhit June 25, 2010 at 7:57 PM #

They are not sour, but they totally look like they could be! You should take a vitamin. I found that when I do not take vitamins then I get sick more often.
