Yay a real Summer Day :)

Good Morning!

                The sunshine is bright and beautiful. We woke up at about 7:30, cuz seriously our bodies are just programmed to waking up early now. I wanted to sleep more, but Court and I like the twins we are ended up meeting in the bathroom at the same time. She couldn’t sleep any longer too. After seeing Katie’s new recipe for her Maple Coffee Oats, we made them for breakfast. And this recipe seriously was amazing 😉

And What is better than having breakfast on the warm porch surrounded by flowers.

Katie’s Maple Coffee Oats:

1. Blend the following in the blender:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup egg beaters
  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1/2 cup almond milk

2. Cook the blended mixture stove top

3. Mix in the following while cooking:

  • Stevia/Natural Sweetener pkt
  • Maple Extract
  • Vanilla Extract

4. Put into a bowl and top with:

  • Peanut Butter (we used Mighty Maple)
  • Maple syrup
  • Plain/Vanilla Greek yogurt
  • Cinnamon



On the agenda for today is

  • Relax
  • Go to the Gym to workout
  • Plan Dinner to make for the Family tonight, then cook
  • Make Maple Protein bar to enter the giveaway
  • Go for a walk or bike ride
  • Work on cleaning out closet

    Three of my favourite things – maple syrup, coffee, and oats. It’s like three breakfast items in one (think pancakes for the maple syrup :D) Oh, and peanut butter! Who could forget that? 😉

      at the grocery store down the baking aisle by the vanilla extract, or walmart-baking aisle

    Ahh, you girls are making me SO ready for summer. I know what you mean about being programmed to wake up early. I love the sound of those oats! I used coffee and maple in a smoothie today-along with some banana, cinnamon and yogurt. We must be on the same wavelength!

    I love summer days like this!! Reminds me of when I was little and I would stay home all day…and watch full house..!!! lol..good times 🙂
