Busy Busy Shopping Bees

Happy Hump Day!

 

We made it halfway through the week 🙂 Yay! Wednesdays are great, because that alarm does not go off until 5:30, that extra half hour of sleep is Glorious, and Much needed. We woke up casually, made breakfast, took our time getting ready, you know make the hair look cute, etc.

Our breakfast was StrawberryBananaPB oats, with a Steamer.

 

In the Mix:

  • 1/3 cup of old fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup of almond milk, 1/3 cup water
  • ½ banana mashed in
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1tsp brown sugar

 

Toppings:

  • Other half of banana sliced
  • 2 sliced strawberries
  • ½ tbs of Creamy Peanut Butter

 In the Steamer:

  • 1 1/4 cup of skim milk
  • 1 pkt of stevia
  • Lots of Cinnamon

*Heat in the microwave for 2 min

 

After our slow morning, we headed to school for our only two classes of the day. Whit had American Lit Honors 1rst while I’m in Sports & Entertainment marketing, then we have second together which is US History. Fun Fun, school feels great when you get out at 10:45 AM every other day!

 After school, we rushed home, ate one of these fabulous Peppermint Stick Luna’s, brushed teeth, then headed to our dentist appointment which was at 12 and 12:30. When we walked in, the receptionist lady was quite rude, and was all “Umm, your guy’s appointment is not even tell 12:30 and 1!” So Whit gave her attitude right back and said “Well there was some new lady on the phone, who clearly did not know how to schedule an appointment, and she told our mom that something was wrong with the computer, then said our appointments were at 12 and 12:30.” The lady just continued with her attitude, and said “I don’t even know if we can get you guys in early now.” But sure enough, after like 15 min of having half the staff around the scheduling computer talking about who messed up, they finally led us to the BIG chair for our cleaning. Geez, we did not know getting our teeth cleaned would be such a hassle

After the dentist, we wanted some lunch, so we hit up one of our Favorite Local Cafe’s called Carino’s Cafe. And on the menu for today was a ham provolone sandwich on wheat with a small non-fat Butter Pecan Latte, can you say MMM..

We sat there awhile after eating, to sip our lattes, and think about what we should pick up at the store to make for dinner tonight. This place is great, and Whitney and I are officially regulars. Lol, the owner noticed we dyed our hair. Too Funny, I always notice the regulars at Einstein’s.

When lunch was all gobbled up, we drove to Sprouts! It is the BEST health food store, that is within 5 min of home, GOTTA LIKE THAT 🙂

 

Following Sprouts we went to Albertsons, then a stop at Lowe’s to visit the MOMASITA at work. When we finally got home, the groceries were put away and it was time for a hard hour and 20 min workout, yikes! This last week of Insanity has to have been one of the sweatiest. After the sweat sessh, we refueled with some Gt’s Kombucha, then made some Din Din. The fab dish we decided on at lunch was Apricot glazed chicken from our new Hungry Girl Book, with some Whole Grain Couscous, and Veggies!

 

 

Whit made this scrumptious dinner, while I packed our lunches for tomorrow. It really does help when there is two of you. Lol Great minds think alike, and twins even more alike.

 

The flavors in this meal were amazing. This was out first time trying Apricot glazed Chicken, and it is an award winner in my book. So flavorful!

      We buy healhy bulk food items, nut butters, fresh produce, vitamins, etc. It is a smaller version of Whole foods.

    I just made a tofu scramble with mushrooms, poblano peppers and soy sauce. So delish.

    Also, apricot chicken is amazing. I am all about the fruity chicken. 🙂

    Those sandwiches looks gooood! You get to leave school at 10:45 every other day, you lucky ducks! Why??

    I made some ridiculously good peanut butter bars a few days ago, the recipe is on my blog!

      Because on “A” day’s we only have 2 classes, we have 3rd and 4th as off periods those days. We will have to check out the bars, thanks!
