Just another start of the week…
We arrived home from Utah around 1:30 pm yesterday. It was such a great trip, I feel rejeuvanated. It was nice to wake up and spend quality time with my family everyday. I am not looking forward to getting back to a busy school and work week. Whit and I have a short day today, but then we have to rush to work which takes 35 min. to get there, and work 12-4pm. Breakfast this morning was a bowl of maple pecan cereal mixed with bananas, coconut milk, and peanut butter.
A package arrived yesterday from gnu foods. They were kind enough to send Whit and I a whole box of gnu bars, every flavor to sample. The flavors include:
We decided to take the banana walnut bar on the road on the side of our lunch while we drove to work. This is by far one of the best bars I have ever ate. It tastes just like banana bread. When you take it out of the package it looks, and has the same texture as a Lara Bar or Pure Bar. I couldn’t believe the bar had only 140 calories and 12 g of fiber for how big it was! The bars ingredients are as follows: (whole rolled oats, organic whole wheat flour, wheat bran, organic kamut, psyllium, flax, millet), chicory root inulin, fruit juices, rice dextrins, apples, canola oil, walnuts, rice, plums, banana, wheat protein isolate, natural flavors, baking powder. I love that their is real fruit in these babies- apples, plums, banana’s. Also another bonus is there is no trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, or artificial anything. This bar is definitely one I will be purchasing. If you love banana bread then this bar is for you! I cannot wait to try all of the other flavors 🙂

After work, Whit and I picked up a few things from natural grocers and then rushed home to watch The Secret Life of The American Teenager.
