Then we did weight lifting and floor work for another 20 minutes. Everything felt much easier with the new running shoes we got for our birthday. For once my calves did not fill like huge bricks, and I did not get shin splints.
On the way back from the gym, we stopped at target to pick up some stuff for lunch. We ended up making a salad with a yogurt parfait and honey crisp apples. It felt really good to have after a good sweat session. It also felt like I was giving my body a break from all of the holiday eating.
We went shopping with Ashley and by the time we got back it was really late. So we decided to make something quick and easy. We enjoyed a warm bowl of Campbell’s tomatoes bisque soup with hummus and laughing cow tortilla wedges and sweet potatoe fries. There was also brie sprinkles over our soup.
