PB&J Lara Bar Recipe

-PB&J Homemade Lara Bar-

~Save your money people, this recipe is so much more better :)

Makes 1 medium-large bar:

  • 5 Dates
  • 10 peanuts
  • 7 cashews
  • 1 tbs of raisins
  • 1 tbs of dried cherries
  • 1/2 tbs of all natural creamy PB (*The secret ingredient* and we used Krema brand)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Directions:

> Put all ingredient into a food processor, and blend to a well mixed paste about 3-4 min

> Roll out flat in bar shape

>Freeze for about 3o min, then wrap up for later, or enjoy now :)

    These sound awesome! Where do you girls live in CO? My husband and I just moved to CO in september and we live in Denver. I’ve been meaning to make some home made LB’s..thanks for the recipe!

    Sweet – thanks for posting this! Please add other homemade bar recipes! I love Larabars, but they’re so darn expensive. Now I just have to drag my food processor out of the cupboard…

      For sure! We love Homemade bars too :) And you need to drag the food processor out, to make some banana soft serve too lol

      you can go to http://www.nutrimirror.com – sign up (it’s free) go to recipes, enter it, and not only will you get the calorie count, but all the nutritional data, including micronutrients!

      want to try these soon! :) i entered the items into the sparkpeople recipe calculator and w/o the cashews it came out 148 cals.
